It also gets completely shut down by syringe gun needles, which is an issue in its own league of stupidity.
plus somehow it deserves the need to get maimed by airblast reflects which is fairly simple since the DF pyro is forced to hold down mouse1.
the DF particles are freakin amazing.
Again, i like the new flame particles for flamethrower tho. Gives me options.
The only thing I'd maybe change is make the trail less like smoke and more like fire like the official particle. But I'd have to see a comparison since your particle looks good already
yeah I hope it gets the cow mangler treatment where they upgrade the visuals because it does look very meh
How long did they take to update it's visuals though?
just download the first release of TF2C
the problem is half these weapons will just never fit the competitive narrative. the idea that these weapons NEED to be changed and unbanned is wrong to me, why should that happen to suit the 500 people out of 50,000? there's no reason why weapons (or whole classes) that are fine and fun in pubs need to be changed to suit the competitive narrative. That attitude has basically ruined all heavies speed items (which were fine and made heavy way more fun on pubs without being particularly overpowered) and will ruin all of engineers weapons if valve ever tries it.
simply put, as soon as heavy is viable you need a full time sniper, and nobody wants to play with fulltime heavy/sniper because it's not fun to play "two teams sit on opposite sides of choke points" which is also the reason the quick fix isn't allowed. perma heavy will NEVER be accepted by the current competitive community. (the idea that heavy can be an attacking class is a thought but in practice doesn't work if the enemy team also has a heavy)
nobody wants to see engineer get ruined but it'll happen if valve really want to push the idea that it Must Be Unified. The worst part is, after all the nerfs that get slapped onto these various items, engi items still won't be allowed, because it will still make stalemates worse.
In the end, tf2 is a game where defensive play is the modus operandi and the trope of the 10 minute stalemate is so reasonable that anything that actively encourages you to play defensively will stay banned. Things like jarate and quick fix and wrangler that contribute only to defensiveness will never be allowed, and if they are it will probably be miserable.
To be fair, most of this stuff is already fine in matchmaking (soft most) anyway. I think the tf2 team ought to stick to trying to make matchmaking 6s actually functional and populated before they even touch half of this stuff.
Yes. Valve is dead, and doesn’t make games anymore, much less play this one.
And we'll still love and play the next update even if it takes nine years of development.
Some of us might be dead by then.
Still, I fail to see the point in hype if they’re just going to drop the ball on the main goals again like with JI.
I don't hype anymore after Meet your Match and Jungle Inferno, but I'll always be up for the next update, whether to use hilariously broken weapons or actual good changes.
I have a theory. What if the person who keeps shelving the games they work on is actually this mother fucker?

In the last few days, Valve have managed to break the SCM. Deep searches (including the item's description) fail to work more often than they don't, especially if the search contains multiple terms. Quick example, here is a search for Strange quality TF2 cosmetics that have "kills" and "assists" on them: Steam Community Market. The SCM appears to be spitting back mostly a list of all strange cosmetics. It gets even weirder with other search terms. I suspect someone at Valve changed something on the back end and failed to tell someone else who babysits the SCM. Can't wait for this to get fixed ...next November.
Made a tool during the TF2 Jam to try to curbstomp impersonators
https://scrap.tf/impersonator
I think it's pretty helpful
Out of like 10 Casual games, I'm still yet to find one that doesn't have a cheater on it. It's actually sad.
Had a blatant aimbot with a vacc ban on his profile, and 24 hours on TF2, and people -still- defended him
If there was a way to send in any recommendations for community members that should be in that system, I think it'd be a bit more useful.
There's tons of important people in the tf2 community and I can't imagine you guys have the time to find them all.
I seriously dont understand if you are talking out of your ass or if you just have the worst luck in the entire world, I know its anecdotal but I havent seen a hacker in two weeks

while there are definitely multiple people on my friend list that I would consider "famous", the most notable thing is that I have 3 people green tagged on SteamRep, that should be the most obvious source for "famous" people when it comes to trading
It must be a location thing because I still barely ever run into hackers. The few times that I do they get kicked relatively quickly out of matches... Only exception are Pyro's using a bot for reflecting as they are harder to identify then sniper bots...
It also largely depends on the maps you play on. I nearly completely missed the cat bot wave because I mostly only play Payload.
I agree -- the list of commonly impersonated users is based on a manually curated list of users on backpack.tf.
One side effect I can see this happening is people using such a status as a status symbol, like a verified checkmark on Twitter. That's really not the goal, and I think I can reword things to make that more clear.
I still can't believe we're nearing 2 fucking years after the second """"WAR""""" and Heavy still doesn't have a rework
Well, yeah; we had a class pack for one class one year, and now were waiting for another class pack on the second year, what is so suprising to you?
...Because a year between each is fucking absurd.
To be honest, I've seen more hackers in L4D2 than in TF2. I know, SA isn't that popular, but when we have hackers, they are harrased between spanish, portuguese and english, and finally kicked.
It absolutely is, but TF2 players have become so complacent and forgiving that they're willing to sit idle rather than speak their minds. Valve's support for TF2 gets measurably worse each year, hence why I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't receive a major update at all this year
again, what is there to do? nothing.
even in the best possible scenario where valve gets overflowed by complaints, there is absolutely nothing that forces them to act.
Besides that, even if we do complain constantly 24/7 as a whole community, that doesn't mean TF2 will get more support - it'll make us look like babies - and that is because we just don't seem to get it to our heads that for TF2 to have more support or updates, Valve has to go through the changes internally - external pressure is really not a factor for Valve.
