Weapon_case_key_smissmas2017.vtf and paintkit_tool.vtf were updated. One tip got changed from "As a Pyro, the Degreaser inflicts less afterburn damage but allows you to switch weapons almost instantly. This helps you perform deadly combination attacks, such as setting the enemy on fire and using the Axtinguisher to inflict a critical hit!" And the version change was 26,000 for such a small update.

I'm in the hospital hoping for an update (Just to raise my spirits since I don't have a gaming laptop) and we get a a medal update. You killing me Jill.

I thought they're gonna get a better design than the current ones, but these are quite bad...If they're as small as I think they are atleast.

you say that ironically but diretide set the precedent that if you annoy valve enough they'll actually do something to get you to shut up. I mean it's the only thing that has worked thus far.

Yeah, to be honest, those designs are really ugly, the red and white ribbons completely overshadow the actual medal designs. I'm clearly biased because I have some of the respective medals, but I think the Season 11 medals were easily the best, followed by the Season 15, then Season 11. Distinct designs with the focus on eagles/stars, paintability if you reached Plat+, and just very nice to look at.

TF2 development should be a little better now that CSGO had its major update today.

At first i thought these jokes were made by people who didn’t care about competitive or weren’t getting anything from these updates. But after the endless nothing from valve, even I find them funny, despite having helped make several of the items in this, and previous patches 🤷‍♀️

There was a second update, they actually forgot to add the textures for the UGC Platinum medals.

OOH! even better idea: you get blood tickets(or maybe even something new but some currency thingy) from comp, and with those you can choose to purchase items, war paints maybe, or metal; i think it would be good to get newer players into comp, so they are playing with people thier skill level is at, so they have a better experience.

Giving out metal is a bit silly, the whole point of it is a resource you get by crafting junk. All metal needs is some sorta of other use than hats or the occasional weapon craft. Metal is so abundant right now any other means of acquiring it is silly. What its other use could be could be anything, shit if valve could care about MVM again I'm sure they could easily tie metal into a new tour be it a method of playing the tour or use it as some form of gameplay mechanic.

all i can think of for another use for metal is strangifiers. You might be on something with the tour thing, but idk how well it could work. i do agree rewards for comp is maybe not best way, as i remember hearing that from the OW team; but i do know comp is in need of something to draw in people. It's taking me forever ot ever que up still, and i know many ppl are still discouraged form it.

I really hope we get crossover items for Quake Champions when its full release comes about. I'd be all for it if we could get the Grenade/Sticky Launcher for Demomen and Super Nailgun for Medic at least... I've been wanting them ever since we got Quake 1's Rocket Launcher.
