I've seen this happen before, don't think it's a hack, just a visual bug.
I know I'm late to the whole sv_pure thing, I'd like to add my two cents. I think the thing that sv_pure has killed the most is one of the things that made the game fun to play; customisability. Before sv_pure, I often liked to download weapons and cosmetics from mod sites made by community contributers, that weren't in the game, as it made the game more welcoming to play. I know that alot of twats would be willing to use it to create really horrid, looking player skins with high contrast colours that burn your eyes. But here's the beauty of it; you don't have to download the bad stuff, it's all on YOUR game only. The thing that baffles me the most about sv_pure is not just the fact that they enabled it on valve servers, but the fact that they took away one of the biggest freedoms that TF2 had w/o knowing the impact and it played a big role in killing the once thriving modding community. I know that there were a few twats abusing the modding system but in my opinion, sv_pure did alot of harm to quite a sizable part of the community.

Like some of the changes, but some are debatable Ike Soldier and Scout buffs.
oh boy this is fun afterburn doesn't need more buffs bleed doesnt need to make medkits less effective classes dont deserve special per-player super powers, especially because of reading issues switch times should be the same to everyone unless the weapon specifically affects it i don't even want to keep going after seeing that FaN. this is valve-like balance where they just dig the hole deeper into more problems rather than rooting out awful power creep.
I'll say it's definitely changing the game... not so much re-balancing it.
smg is literally the most accurate rapid fire weapon in the game outside of first-shots and maybe amb. Shows they know little.
You should make a document about your preferred balance changes.
Personally I love the Pyro changes but that's sort of the point... it gets you thinking that your main class will be good. Scout, Soldier and Demoman, the least they need is buffs.
only problem is I don't have any website to make it nice for the eye. so it's just a shitty .txt file.
I can speak from atleast knowing a person who was in touch with the creator of said plugin that its not balanced in the least bit and there was more emphsis on making whacky concepts that were fun then there were actual unique changes for the sake of balance. And that idea can be seen the most from how they approached custom weapons in which they threw out any sort of balance for gimmicks that were either harshly underpowered/overpowered like from what I personally tested which was god awful, a scout lunchbox item that made you 75% smaller with the small penalty of more damage taken, just to kinda highlight the general approach that people are going for. All the weapons are getting their unique aspects boiled down into single gimmicks to a pretty poor standard with stuff like the force a nature being turned just into a pure knockback weapon due to a 50% damage decrease. Then there are other weapons which just got a free upgrade dispite the fact they are already free upgrades like the machina. In the end its kinda cool in theory the changes they are doing here but they forget that just because its fun for you does not mean its fun for the person on the recieving end. I would be more onboard if they focused more on balance rather then what was "fun" to play with. Which all these changes fall into, being fun for sure but not really balanced in the slightest

assuming only a tiny ammount of people view it compared to mus, aswell as most of its posts being wastes of time, yeah it is pointless.
Would be more fun if the server actually has people, everyone keeps getting cold feet when it comes to server with its own custom balance.
I dont think Pyro will ever be good considering how many Pyro updates we have had. And all we have to show for it is now Pyro is slightly less annoying to fight, but still isnt really great at anything.
I gotta disagree. Pyro is the strongest he's ever been, barring +50hp Backburner. He's a very strong offensive force with a lot of utility to assist in more ways than straight frags. Homewrecker, extinguishing teamates, even reflecting projectiles away from buildings and what else. A good Pyro has the potential to shut down most soldiers, and that's a blessing in and of itself. I've definitely seen more Pyros nowadays tearing ass compared to even a year ago; running straight is still an incredible strong strategy somehow. Even the Dragon's Fury in the right hands with an Uber is like a steamroller. With Spies stronger than ever before and Soldiers and Demos everywhere, Pyro has an important role in the game. While he absolutely isn't as strong as Soldier, Demo, or Scout, he is certainly in a much better place than ever before. He won't ever achieve the same kind of usability as the other classes, and I'd argue that's because his mechanical depth bottoms out at "+mouse1; +forward" Regardless, Pyro has an important role in the metagame as a whole. as for 6v6s and highlander, lmao no
Only one I liked was the enforcer change. It's subtle, small even. But enough of a change that'd make a difference in combat. Also, making Machina penetrate on every shot...Yeah no. It's already pretty much a direct upgrade thats downside can be countered with an SMG.
What annoys me the most about that is the class is seriously just bug fixes away from being way, way better than he is now. The Tf team just isn't willing to go the extra mile and would just rather slap on more band-aid fixes instead.
That could've easily been fixed by reverting how the flames did damage back to what they were like pre-JI.
I definitely agree that most of the merch posted to the store is fluff and egregious. I'm really glad you like the demoman quote tee though! That was actually my first officially accepted TF2 'content', almost two years prior to my first selfmade items. Though I can't take all the credit, I came up with the concept and a rough draft and a buddy of mine (alejandro) made the final design. I'm actually curious if anyone besides myself ever bought it lmao

What bugs does pyro currently have? I was under the impression that Jungle Inferno fixed the major ones.
Would also like to see what bugs pyro has besides the after death 3 seconds flame life bug for phlog.

No class is really perfect. Pyro's issue is actually he overlaps onto a lot of other classes who actually do what he does better. In terms of casual pubstomping I think he's fine, I actually think Pyro gains effectiveness the more players there are on the map, especially if you're trash like me and do nothing but Phlog+Scorchshot. But I cant help but feel like he should have gotten more out of his update rather than a joke slappy hand, an unusable redundant secondary, and a primary weapon thats only OK.
