I haven't played much of XC2 but I did like what I played a lot. I should get back to it once I finish Okami.
Assuming the Online Family Plan doesn't come with any weird strings attached, I don't get why anyone would complain about the price. $4.38 a year for Online, cloud saves, NES games, etc is a great deal. I'd probably pay more if it was actually a substantial service but it is what it is.
R-Type was actually my favorite side scrolling shooter series. I've always enjoyed the series' lore &setting and I really wish they would port R-Type FINAL to the switch just so I can play it on the go. Although the game's on the PS2 only so it's very unlikely.
This is the exact mentality that most fanboys (not even specifically Nintendo) tend to have that lets shitty business practices and subscription services go on way past their welcome, with no intention of improving.
I think it's less the pricepoint and more Nintendo going from a free P2P service to a paid P2P service, and never stating the games are switching to a server system.
For an advertised online service it's obviously lacking. For the lack of features, the price is still pretty good is my point. I'm specifically talking about price. Both of your concerns are true.
How 'bout Prime Trilogy HD while we wait for Prime 4? I'd be down for that.
Best Buy just changed the Smash Pro Controller to September 28th: https://imgur.com/PmAvDnO This could be something about tomorrow or it could be nothing at all.
Releasing with Nintendo Switch online and the Exclusive Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Demo for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
I'm waiting for when they finally list in Canada. I missed the window for the Xenoblade controller and will have to shell out for that one but I don't want to miss this one.
you say this but id love it
I'll still be rocking the Gamecube controller, personally, but it's still interesting timing.
I can't be the only one hoping for some Bayonetta 3 news? It's been nearly a year since this teaser. They've gotta have something to show us.
*10 launches only
Well, it's a stretch, but if you're willing to indulge it - TGA retweeted the Direct with a random emphasis on some particular announcement in it. And, Bayonetta 3 was revealed at last year's Game Awards. https://twitter.com/thegameawards/status/1037345426402242560
I feel its a long shot but oh please Big N, announce a Smash + Console Bundle, I'd be all over that.
Don't even joke about that, you monster.
how unlikely is a smash bros demo for online subs though?
As others have said, it more or less depends on their concerns about datamining (and potentially a short-ish schedule - demo development could detract from the game's release in December). They intend to reveal every character before launch anyways, but I imagine they still want to space out announcements to keep a steady momentum of hype going.
I hope that 20 minutes of it is Gramps going over the gameplay of the Torna DLC again. Just neverending.
God I fucking hated that, even though the game turned out super damn good.
no you don't understand I have to explain what gacha is for like 5 minutes
What is Gacha?
Serious answer it's shorthand for Gachapon, those coin slot machines where you put a quarter in and turn a dial and get a prize. Whenever a game has elements of randomness like that (Fire Emblem's phone game, Puzzles and Dragons, etc) it's refered to as Gacha as you're turning the crank and hoping you get a good prize out of it. Not serious answer is that it's a curse on video games.
Fire Emblem Heroes Revenue Surpassed $60 Million This Summer, 34..
A curse can still be profitable.
I spent an entire day last week getting the last 5 blades from the gacha system. And no, none of them were the extremely rare one, I got that one on my very first rare core crystal :V
Oho!
The music in the game is absolutely fantastic all around, and, spoilers for some early DLC content they even added in Shulk and Fiora from the first game, and Elma from Xenoblade X, and when you have them in your party after unlocking them you can choose to change the battle music to the battle themes from their respective games. It's an awesome touch especially for fans of the series.
The direct is going to be 20 minutes of explaining XC2's controls for the DLC.
