I think we could see Guilty gear tomorrow, they announced back in April a port of accent core was coming to switch then went silent about it.
Super Mario RPG is announced for coming with Nintendo Switch online and then it cuts to a Geno reveal trailer.
I would suck my own dick if they dropped those two tomorrow that's how pumped I would be for it
Well then. We're all rooting for you
Breath of the Wild is probably far past the honeymoon phase, but I'll always remember it for letting me drop a steel sword on the floor and use it as a conduit in an electricity puzzle
Reminds me of when one of my brothers was trying to solve one of those puzzle's by dropping all of his metal weapons and painstakingly trying to get the weapons to touch each other to form a connection.
Heh, I did that to one of the puzzles in Vah Naboris.
I hope we see some more MK8 Deluxe DLC tomorrow.
We need a proper Splatoon race track for the Inklings and maybe a course or two from Odyssey.
As for characters, I'd love to see Pauline, Cappy, Diddy Kong and hopefully we can finally get Kirby as the next crossover character.
Damn, must've been pretty fucking bad.
Hopefully it's not going to be delayed by much.
Well that sucks. But I perfectly understand the reason.
I'm seeing speculation that it might be due to earthquake-related content within the direct itself, as Nintendo and affiliates have even cancelled entire episodes of Pokemon due to coincidental timing of quakes. Death toll is thankfully low, as it hit a relatively unpopulated area, but might increase to 3 dozen from the current single-digit levels.
Does Isacc have rock/earthquake powers or something?
He's a primarily earth-based mage, pretty much a geomancer. The majority of his moves are either throwing rocks around or causing earthquakes.

But that's just stretching because it'd be a funny coincidence. Assuming that the Direct was delayed for earthquake reasons, it could be something an innocuous as the ground shaking in one of the videos, Smash related or not. If it were directly related to a character reveal it could be Bandanna Dee cracking the earth like in Super Star, or the ground shaking from the Moon approaching with Skull Kid, or something unlikely like that.
One theory was that one of the games shown off would be a Disaster Report game for the Switch. I think it's most likely that it's just out of respect and doesn't have anything directly to do with earthquakes though.
wow dude too soon
Although it's not necessarily Isaac that might be the issue, yes, Isaac's main shtick is that he has powers to control plants and the ground itself (among other things, like summoning giant swords made of fire from the sky), and thus it'd almost certainly involve seismic activity. He even has a move straight up called "Quake".
Yeah with the death toll being low I think the delays kind of stupid and nonsensical otherwise.
I hope everyone effected and continue to be effected is safe but delaying something worldwide just because a tiny % can't see it right away is so bizarre to me that there has to be some kind of other reasoning behind it.
Don't worry, they'll just save the reveal until a Hurricane Isaac slams into U.S.A. as a category 5 with the tag line "ISAAC TAKES THE WORLD BY STORM".
Speaking of arcade soundfonts, it would have been nice to get at least one track from Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth considering it was a Wiiware game.

this is the official announcement of the direct delay, by the way

We decided to postpone the broadcast of "Nintendo Direct" scheduled at 7 am on the 7th tomorrow from the damage situation of the large earthquake occurred in Hokkaido earlier today. Regarding the new broadcast schedule, I will show you again later. #NintendoDirectJP
They're doing it out of respect to the victims of the earthquake, also it wouldn't be fair for the people affected unable to watch the stream as they most likely won't have power until 1-2 weeks after.
apparently, this item in splatoon 2 was scheduled to be released on the 7th and now its release date was changed to the 14th

we're not seriously speculating that a nintendo direct was delayed following an earthquake because of a new smash reveal, are we?
Huh, so they were ho
Man, Castlevania Rebirth has soem fantastic remixes, my favorite is of course New Messiah.
Man I came off way more hostile then I wished to so sorry about that first off, lack of sleep and just didn't think my words through.
Why I think it's dumb though is because the Japanese directs and what NA (and other regions) get are often different. Japanese ones tend to have different announcements (usually japanese only stuff) and be their own thing. Only reason I can see it dragging everyone else down is "we don't want to ruin the smash announcement for a very small % of our audience" which seems kind of silly.
I honestly do value safety first and hope the families recover that were effected- but I don't think it should of effected every branch of the company.
I don't see what is so outlandish about stating it could be earthquake-related content of any kind in the direct that caused the delay. They don't even use any quake moves in the Pokemon anime to avoid a similar situation and Nintendo didn't react to the once-in-a-generation typhoon that caused significantly more casualties and affected more people. It feels likely that they tried to avoid showing something the Japanese would have found to be bad taste, contextually.
There are several upcoming things that could be earthquake related.
LGPE is getting shown off, they may have used earthquake in the direct.
The stage rotation is gone now too.
