Monster Hunter - PC can finally get hip checked too!

I feel like Diablos is like a skill check, with the armor you have available to you at that point you really need to be on point to avoid a lot of damage.
Is the light bowgun supposed to kick really hard on the last shot? It's nothing and then the last bullet jumps by reticle up almost an inch. Not even the heavy bowgun moves the reticle like this
Been years since I last played a Monster Hunter game and I'm loving this so far, but goddamn Diablos is a bitch and I need resources from him before I can upgrade. Tried doing him solo a few times and he just 1-shots me, not entirely certain how I'm supposed to progress anymore :/
Any hints or tips to help me with this guy?
This is my first MH game and the main reason I bought it is because someone told me it has big spin2win hammers. I like me some big hammers.

Don't make me post more of this awful creature
One of my favorite videos stripped of sound. Shame.

Any idea what sort of future monsters we can expect? any hints?
If the pickle isnt already in you can expect him back. Is Kulve Taroth in the PC version at all?
There was this big leaklist a while back with every monster in the base game so far plus Deviljho, the "treasure dragon" (which turned out to be Kulve Taroth), Lunastra, Oroshi Kirin, and Alatreon, the last two of which have yet to be added. Even so, I'm sure there's gonna be more beyond that.
None of the update monsters are in yet.
Which mean we can expect to see Deviljho, Lunastra, Kulve Taroth, FFXIV Guest Star Behemoth, and multiple Arch Tempered variants of elder dragons.
I'm kinda bummed that one of the areas wasn't like, an Ancient Civilization bastion. The lack of any mention of them at all sucks
bait him to charge into walls/pillars or something, hell get stuck and its free damage
ive also heard that if you dont move when he goes underground, he wont do his skyward attack? you should be using that opportunity to throw a sonic bomb though
Just figured out how Diablos works and killed 'em repeatedly. Apparently blocking with the shield mitigates his damage to like nothing lmao. Great Giros Paralysis sword was great since he's really vulnerable to it and setting up large bomb traps when he gets paralyzed is hilarious.
Also, Vitality Mantle has saved my butt more than a few times.
if anyone cares to want to run some mods theres a DoF remover
Blur Effects Be Gone at Monster Hunter
some were complaining about no dualshock prompts but theres a mod too
DualShock 4 Controller Prompts at Monster Hunter
Honestly, I think I would only end up using something like ReShade just for some better AA.
The implementation of TAA in this game is horrible. Barely removes jagged edges. The FXAA even does a better job despite being blurry.
Is this worth buying for PC? Just the title of the game series gives me a serious chub but I don't want to shell out money for a game that's horribly optimized/has "GTA4 on PC" syndrome.
Can I get a "skip cutscenes" mod
its worth the money but if youre worried about optimization just buy it, play it for less than 2 hours and refund it if it runs badly. its a coin toss right now whether itll run good or bad for you tbh.
Playing this game makes me want a Dragons Dogma 2 so bad.
Wtf is this beetlejuice thing and why did it nuke me from orbit when I was just about to kill a rathian?
why on earth is it a thing where if the ammo i have equipped for my HBG isnt fully reloaded, the next time i take out my gun itll automatically reload right there and then? i keep on getting fucking hit by monsters because of this
Game eats resources like mad but it looks great and runs just fine for me (some people report frame drops when a monster dies or at other weird locations but I haven't noticed that).
There are some mods that help, but they don't do a ton.
Something that really, really craves attention and absolutely hates it when you're paying attention to another monster. To the point where this behavior of it is actually part of its wiki entry.
A yandere in carpet bombing dragon form.
Bazelgeuse is the only remnant of the ancient civilization I need, that thing was very clearly engineered for maximum terror and destruction

So I just hunted the loudest Diablos ever: (warning, may be loud)

How is Base building in this game? I love games were the Base sorta develops independently from the player
You have NO idea.

Reminds me that I got 3 Zorah Magdaros Gems the first time I beat him.
