gosh dang hackers killed my miniature Odogaron.
i now actually remember being able to edit event quests for one of the 3DS games (4U i think) and you could do crazy fun shit like bigger/smaller monsters that were never even given official quests like that i hope we can do something like that for world
how hasn't this been fixed yet lmao
For some reason it's not literally all textures, just most of them. Idk how texture stuff works, but if they have to mess around with every texture that isn't loading correctly, it could take a while.
Bazel seems fairly non-threatening if he's the only monster in the area. Not looking forward to fighting all these elder dragons though.
There's a hammer that does.... 420 blast, basically you launch anything including nergi wa shinderu or B52 into low earth orbit with nerg or kulv armor
That explains why on the Hornetaur area in Rotten Vale theres detail on most bones and then theres a few purple-ish blurry blocks standing like a sore thumb. That or monster textures looking pixely, I hope they fix it soon
armor textures are definitely some of the bugged ones
Met bazelgeuse earlier during the first HR Barroth hunt. Never have I swapped so fast to dung pods.
Had a quest where all three monsters, including the Bazelgeuse kept showing up in the same area for some reason. Chat was full of "Dung Deployed!" from me constantly firing them off.
Why does my radial menu keep fucking resetting itself? Every time I customize it I'm good to go for a couple of quests but after a while it'll just reset itself back to default. It's incredibly frustrating.
It's linked to your item sets. What I'm assuming is happening is you haven't registered your item set after customizing it and so when you apply a set it then resets your radial menu to the one in the set.
As a bow user I fully welcome the Bazelbomber. It's great seeing him arrive because he drops his scales or whatever, then I shoot them which just blows whatever I'm fighting straight to hell.
I feel like the Odogaron exists solely as a "hey GS users! ... fuck you!" monster. It's not bad enough that it has seizures all over the area for most of it's attacks, but that some of it's moves put it BEHIND it's starting point on completion - so if you were cheeky and stayed put charging while it did the wombo-combo on a friend, you're actually about to get your ass bit. I guess it's time to see if DS are any good.
Dual Swords are amazing. Their slide attack is the best in the game imo.
I figured that was the case, but I wasn't entirely sure. Thanks for clearing that up.
FRIENDSHIP ENDED WITH GREATSWORD DUAL SWORDS ARE MY NEW BEST FRIEND I miss the big numbers though, but boy do I love dancing in circles around the enemy WHILE doing damage.
Have you tried using hammers? You can be reasonably mobile while still getting some pretty big numbers.
God damn getting a nice head-to-tail shot with Wyvernsnipe is so satisfying.
The big numbers kept me for awhile, but honestly - going back to Tri, I've mained: Great Swords, Hammers, Lances (kinda), Gunlances and a tiny bit of Switch Axe in Tri. I should've just started this with SnS and DS, but the big numbers were alluring. The damage numbers make it easier to visualize and compare how consistently I'm doing damage, whereas in prior games I avoided SnS/DS because it didn't feel like I was doing anything. After a few runs of DS, yeah the values are tiny - but they're like a chainsaw. It's not as satisfying as hitting a big ol' fuckin' 300 on a goober, but it's nice to not be stuck whiffing charges due to mobile monsters.
Kirin is a real shit, im prety good at dodging him but every so often he hits me with a stun and you just have to sit there and watch while he kills you with his shitty AoE
I never thought I would use a bowgun but having an actual analogue stick instead of the 3DS nipple makes it way easier to aim, I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Blast Dual Swords are great if you want to just proc constantly if you get the armor for it. That way you can still see 120s or so.
Kusha Daoru is an awful monster to fight against, 80% of my fight is just me in aiming mode with a kinsect with an IG. It's quite a sight to see my kinsect finish him off with 8 damage though lmao.
did you bring flash pods and the flash bugs? It shouldn't even be able to get off the ground without getting knocked back down the whole fight tbh.
Paolumu is such a pain in my backside jesus christ. Not only can I not beat it (as of yet), can't even get help cause people just DC after 5 mins and the game puts me in offline mode.
I just hit High Rank and I'm trying my hardest to get Great Girros stuff (Plus Radobaan because my cat needs that sleep weapon), meanwhile everyone and their mother focuses on Flesh Zinogre and Beetlejuice. I know Odogaron has the cool armor set but does Bazelgoose have anything of worth, like weapons and such?
As I'm playing through high rank I can't help but feel this game is much, much easier than 4U. Even Gen had some fights that were tougher, despite the styles.
I dont remember anything notable about Bazel armour outside of the earplugs but his GL is one of the better wide ones you can get early, I used it for my Nergi fight.
how do I use sword and shield without mashing like an asshole? I cannot into elegant combos
