Monster Hunter - PC can finally get hip checked too!

Have they even said anything about a patch coming soon?
Nope just "Our team is working very hard to fix <thing>." for the Mouse acceleration and connection problems. I've only seen the news on Steam but people keep saying they update on a certain day, which I'm not sure of.
There is this steam depot called fixpatch and tu1 and its getting updated pretty often
Ah thanks, that's good to know
Also just yesterday found out you can charge up the CB's sword (not just shield) with a slash of it's own, it's not even mentioned in the Hunter's notes that it can be strangely enough. I don't remember it from combo vids in MH4U or even see it on old guides. Is this a new thing from MHX or MHXX? I didn't play them.
Which one of the recent games had a "restart from scratch but keeping some items to ease the grind"? Was it MHGenU? Because eventually I might want to pick it up and if thats an option I'd love to do it for my MHGen save
This is new in MHW and one of the reason why Axe mode is useless aside from SAED (which you can do out of Sword mode) this game.
Question:
What's the point of the blacksteel weapon line? They just seem like a shitter version of the dragonbone weapon line, having worse sharpness, damage and elemental damage for seemingly no benefit.
The point of both trees is to upgrade into other weapons, usually elder dragon ones. You're not supposed to stick with them.
I was looking for something to have a slightlier easier time with LR Kirin, and the blacksteel and dragonbone lines were the only weapons accessible to me with dragon element and elderseal. The upgraded Dragonbone gunlance seemed alright so I used that.
is there an alternative to Rathalos mail α for weakness exploit? the rathlos ruby required to craft it has a really low drop rate
I don't know if I'm just not at the point where it is explained or if I've missed it, but what is elderseal? I've seen it on a couple of weapons but other than assuming it's for fighting elder dragons, I don't know what it does specifically.
It's basically a silence.
Kirin is fucking weird, just... like it feels unfinished
it's probably the extensive effort it makes to not make any eye contact whatsoever, and all that electrostatic has made all its muscles go rigid
Is the steam stats accurate? There's really over 100k people playing MHW right now? That's pretty awesome.
I know of the save transfer, I mean starting sort of fresh on MHGU after doing the transfer. In MHGen i don't even remember where I was (i think mid-high rank?) and i vaguely remember Gaijinhunter talking abour that option but i have no idea if he meant MHGen/U or World, and if its in MHGU it would be useful to experience the game fully like I did with 4U but with a head start thanks to MHGen's extra stuff
I think it was 200.000 at release. MH is very addicting and this is the first time with a PC version.
dragonking eye patch has a level 2 weakness exploit innate as well as a level 3 deco slot.
Thanks to MonHunWo I finally got to experience MonHun and it's been a lot of fun so far with 36 hours put in over 3 days of play. However, I really wish the insect glaive wasn't the only option if you want to go airborne, 'cause when I try out the rest of the weapon classes, I just really miss the manouverability.
sword and shield also lets you jump up
So is there an optimization update yet or is this game still doing a GTA IV impression?
Nothing official. But there is Special K by the guy who made the Nier updates. It didn't work for me but those that installed Special K say that it fixes pretty much everything. And there is a higher FOV as well.
S&S has a built in jump that you utilise a lot and the majority of areas in all the maps have things you can slide/jump off of on demand which is what I abuse on hammer.
You can also jump anywhere with the lance and bow.
Nothing needing to be fixed has been fixed.
I've also learned that if anything takes the screen away, such as literally any notifications on your computer, it will fuck up your connection.
I'm guessing the upgrade tree yields something interesting at the end but I'm not nearly that far yet
unrelated: I regret trying all the weapons like 20 minutes in, I dismissed a bunch of them as unwieldy but I just fell in love with the charge blade after 40 hours of IG and bow
Bow has a jumping attack too which lets you get mounts off. Obviously not quite to the mobility of IG, but it's still better than most weapons.
I need to try literally anything other than Heavy Bowgun, I love it too much
I need to stick to one weapon. Upgrading sword & board, greatswords, longswords, lances, bows, charge blades, and hammers is getting expensive.
This. I went broke because I went on a crafting/augmenting spree. Went from 110m to about 4 in the course of 20 minutes.
And damn it was worth it these Bazelgeuse Dual blades are sick and I'm loving the Vaal bow
