Monster Hunter - PC can finally get hip checked too!

Earplugs or evasion window if you have really good timing, though some roars are more active than others.
If you are getting killed by the bodyslam, I think most weapons have a way to reliably avoid it, usually by sheathing and superman diving.
Being able to go back to the camp and refill on ammo was some OP shit, there's a bow in the game that uses all of the status coatings, made a armor set that boosts the coatings and their effectiveness, if I remember correctly you can only carry like 20 shots worth of coatings each, 20 shots is pretty much guaranteed atleast 2 status effects applied but with the help of my armorset I can maybe just barely apply them for a 3rd time. My friend would go GS and had a armorset to just "fuck you in one hit" kinda set since my bow could sleep or stun in a matter of seconds giving him all the time to setup. The most obvious victim that suffered the most from all of this was Kushala. I pretty much had everything to tie him down to the ground and negated most of his vicious winds. Battle start, I pump like 2-4 arrow burst of sleep on him, sleeps so fast. Bomb barrel up and my friend would go for the true charge, of course while he's getting all charged up I alternate to my para coatings, by the time Kushala is done reeling from the GS hit the para kicks in and I quickly switch back to sleep and make him sleep again. The whole fight just consisted of Kushala being sleeped/paralyzed/traps/flashbombed out the air. I also of course would squeeze in poison shots from time to time to keep the winds as calm as possible. I usually start to run out of all coatings when Kushala starts limping so I guess I don't really need to refill on ammo(?). But if I really wanted to be the cunt I am, I could really go back and refill and shut him down again.
Really obvious but boy do I love it when a plan comes together
Are the Zorah Magdaros Dual Blades any good? I have the materials to get them and I was out grinding for them, but the -20% is throwing me off.
Affinity's effect on your damage can really be calculated by dividing it by 4, then turning that into a percentage + or - of your total damage. For instance, 40% positive affinity results in 10% more damage. Likewise, -20% affinity results in a decrease of 5% of your total DPS.
It isn't really a huge deal and can mostly be ignored unless you're already at the point where you know you don't need to. If you want to, however, there are affinity increasing skills which can counteract it. Generally, weapons with high raw will have negative affinity, and because the damage calculation is percentage based, they also see the greatest losses/gains from affinity changes.
If its anything like the long sword it'll be decent for introduction for HR and if you get Clifford the big red pissed off dogs full set it'll turn that negative to a fat 0.
I don't really understand this.
So, you have Jewels/Decorations with effects on them that you can insert into armor.
You have Shards that are required for the Wyvern Ritual to create new Jewels.
But what do those Feystones do that you can obtain through quests? They say that they will be sent to the box but I can't see them anywhere and don't understand what they do.
They can't be jewels like the Attack Jewel, right? Because I get like three normal Jewels and three Feystones after a quest. They don't show up like the ones in Appraisals after a mission and I can't use them in any way for the Ritual. So what exactly are they required for?
They're for augmentation later on, I think you have to get better Feystones for it to unlock tho
Don't Feystones just get appraised and turned into actual Jewels/Decos at the end of the loot screens after a hunt? Pretty sure they do.
Feystones are jus the items that turn into decorations, Streamstones are the items you can get that are used to augmentation and also required as an ingredient to create Feystones with the elder melder
what is the brigade piece? im HR39 and i dont have that
Arena quests. I think you mostly need azure rathalos coins to get it.
tbh a lot of weapons feel a lot more impactful in MHXX due to the excessive effects and sounds, and it feels so good when you hit one of those heavy hitting hunter arts.
Also the blood splatter is way bigger in XX.
They're decent, you should have no problem with them if you decide to craft them. I used them for a bit before I got a lucky elementless 2 jewel drop.
Is there any way to unlock Odogaron Investigations earlier in High Rank? I just recently reached HR and I've been trying to get my hands on the Alpha/Beta Odogaron set early on. My method so far has been going on a HR expedition with a friend and trying to capture an Odogaron together. Obviously this is risky in that the bastard can potentially run off the map before we can weaken him enough for capture. An investigation would nullify this particular niggle.
You can get investigations easy by collecting the tracks of Odogaron rather than actually fighting Odogaron. My investigation list was also pretty full and when I deleted Investigations I didn't want to do I got some investigations for the monster easily by just collecting the footprints.
Short answer no, I only started to get the Odogaron investigations after doing the first few story quests.
There is however an optional given to you by chef to collect fossils, pupper spawns on that and you can use your vouchers on it.
Also get the plunderblade for your cat if you don't have it yet, its worth it.
This is only an option after you hunt Pink Rathian and unlock 7 star quests. You won't get the optional quest, let alone investigations, before that point. Expeditions or bumping into it via another 6 star optional are the only ways early on.
Welp... What a strange issue. Never tried it that early before shows what I know.
After hitting the 250 cap it auto deletes the oldest ones anyway
I just want Fatalis to come back. He got some pretty cool new moves (since he was stuck in the old style for so long) a few games back but he could be doing some crazy cool shit if brought to World. Maybe then he'll actually feel like the powerhouse his background insists he is.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 (2015)
So I just picked it up as my first Monster Hunter game. Always been interested in the series
Its so worth it.
After hunting Clifford about 20 different times I finally got my Clifford gem for the belt thanks to my cat.
A shame that Special K mod doesn't work for me, it just crashes frequently.
is it true you can get the thingamajig to unlock augmenting only by killing tempered elders

love how my character straight up looks like a chaos warrior.
Holy shit, I've mained Switch Axe ever since Monster Hunter Ultimate and I just suddenly decided to pick up and use the Gunlance.
This weapon is fun as heck.
One of us! One of us!
(Seriously though, burstfire may melt through sharpness but holy fuckaroni does it hurt)
maxed magdaros GL with artillery and focus is so fucked up, just keep charge shelling and the monsters get staggered so much
I unlocked it even before I had access to temp elders, what triggered it is getting one of those streamstones used in augmenting from a lvl 2 temp quest.
