Have you installed the Special K mod? It gets rid of a lot of hitches and generally makes the game run smoother. Also, try setting the resolution scaling to "Variable (franerate)" and set volumetrics to either Low or Variable.

Use special K, restrict jobs to logical cores if you have a god pc or physical cores if you don't. Disable volumetric frame suck and variable LOD, marvel at having frame rates.
gems are yesterdays big whoop. nowadays it's GETTING THAT ONE FUCKING MAJESTIC HORN HOLY SHIT.
Heh reminds me of barroth scalps... Hey look I already got one, cool. Wait I need more to upgrade, no problem. *5 barroths later... *
Are you breaking his head?
You can't progress to HR50+ without beating an assignment that makes you fight a tempered Kirin. A lot of people just aren't good at fighting him, so there are a lot of complaints.
I beat him in 3 tries They were saying somrthing about farming tracks though.
They're talking about farming Tempered Kirin's tracks for more tempered elder dragon investigations, because unlike the others he doesn't aggro on sight so you can just follow him around and collect his footsteps.

can arrows break heads?
I probably ever would've tried using hammers were it not for the necessity of impact weapons for farming certain items. You probably should as well. As far as game mechanics go, it's a pretty interesting incentive for some variety in the player's arsenal.
but I hate hammers and all kinds of blundgeoners rock shot will do
get a LBG with okayish damage and sleep bullet -> sleep the diablos and blow his head up with Wyvernblast and Bombs -> return from mission. its probably the fastest and easiest way to get horn if you aren't aiming for the other mats.
Arrows can break anything, even tails if you're using dragonpiercer I believe. Barroth just has a really tough head.
I've done all these things on top of rolling back my Nvidia drivers from the latest, and even removed scoutflies with a mod (surprise I have much more stable frame rate without them). Special K reduced my CPU usage quite a bit, so that's a pretty good mod infact I find it a necessity. Variable Resolution Scaling that prioritizes framerate might as well just be set to low at all times, and it makes everything look very horrid and like I'm playing on a 3DS again. It doesn't work as well during fights / rainy weather / standing near waterfalls though as I go right down to where I started again. Volumetric fog was already set to the lowest possible setting since I've been playing. I'm already at the point where I'm gonna start messing with Nvidia Control Panel or that I feel I need something like Rivatuner + Cheatengine to keep things buttery smooth though
I'm hearing reports that Latest Drivers and Deleting the default Nvidia Inspector profile for MHWorld seems to be causing performance gains.
I looked up what you were talking about, but I don't think it's worked out yet. One of the posts the OP marked out seems to think this is quite a complicated problem. https://steamcommunity.com/app/582010/discussions/3/1735462352470150697/?ctp=2

Hey quick question what's the best way to get your armor up before doing tempered elder quests? I've got a set of fully maxed armor with a divine slasher and both armor charms in my pouch yet even with a large defense food eaten I can't seem to get above 430 or so armor, and apparently that's not enough for tempered elders?
So I decided to take on HR Diablos at last, but this time I swapped out my Dodogama legs with Uragaan legs, taking a paralysis gunlance with a para attack charm. His charges didn't do shit to me, and this is how it felt.
Wait, wiggler head is today? Was this said somewhere?
