what are you guys' fave secondary weapons? Been using the Bloody Mary as of lately and I must say, its' really fun. And surprisingly effective

I always liked running the FBW as a general fallback, and I also liked using my unique permanant ACT-44, but if I was feeling on-point with my ability to trace targets I loved using the S-AS PDW.
It's been a while but it was pretty awesome to do such a thing for 'em.

ded thread
y'all been following the RIOT ARG ?
Enlighten us.
A small number of billboards has been changed in the game without any announcement in the patchnotes or any real/direct acknowledgement from Little Orbit. They promote the RedHill Institute of Technology, which intends to expand into San Paro. What's unique about them is that they have an actual website link listed on them. Said link can be visited on your real browser.
https://www.redhillinstitute.com/
The website has a couple of interesting things going for it. One of the news snippets mentions a mysterious virus in San Paro and how it has already killed two people. In addition, Devil Dog's location has been changed to St. Medina's Hospital in the Surgeon's Row part of Havalynd/the Financial District. It is presumed that he has been moved there to observe people who enter and leave the hospital.
The real tasty bit is the hidden button at the bottom of the page. Highlighting the entire page will reveal a button leading to a subpage. While at first glance it leads to a 404 error placeholder page, highlighting THAT page reveals ASCII art of the RedHill IoT logo and five numbers.
These five numbers can be input into the Redeem Code page on the Armas Marketplace, which causes Armas to give a unique response: "You have completed Part 1.", followed by a long code with three empty spaces, two of them being 4 digit ones and the last one being a 12 digit one.
We know that this is a teaser for the Riot Mode, which will be a part of the highly anticipated Engine Upgrade (see: RedHill Institute of Technology). That is all that's known at the moment.
Talk about creative ARGs... Now I'm cautiously optimistic for APB's future.
I think the real genius of this ARG is not its intricacy, but its subtlety. Other than being straight up told about it, the only way to find out that something is going on is to stop your carnage in San Paro and notice that "hey, I haven't seen this billboard before! wait a second, it has a link?" and pretty much start digging from there. Patch notes did not mention any changed texture billboards, and perhaps the only other clue that something is off could be DDog's relocation, which in itself can be chalked up to just "eh, they moved him around in the past, no big deal".
Funnily enough this is the first time I'm hyped because of an ARG.
Things are moving forward...
LO have dropped a tiny teaser for the upcoming Riot Mode.
Of particular interest is the second screenshot.
https://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/img/riot_mode_m2.jpg
These two characters are Lucas van Rooyen and Lynette Casey, two unreleased before Criminal and Enforcer (respectively) contacts. LO are finally pulling the two out of... whatever hell dummied out characters normally reside in :V
= = =
And on the ARG front... the Redhill Institute of Technology page has been updated. The most recent news article on it mentions Redhill celebrating a "Dentist Day" in San Paro. While by itself it sounds innocuous, this is the first time we are hearing of any names related to the institute - C. Pritcher.
Conveniently enough, this seems to be one of the keys that fits the locks. The login subpage seems to be responding differently.

To clarify: in both cases, the password field has been filled in with "32584", just as a placeholder. A random jumble of letters says "Incorrect username or password", but when filled in with a possible login for the Redhill employee, "cpritcher", the page only mentions the password being incorrect - meaning that "cpritcher" is very likely one half of the login credentials we are looking for.
RIOT RUNDOWN
It's Battle Royale
I expected a bit more, but they did try a BR mode long ago. It was bound to be a thing.
I foolishly hoped for some wave-defense shit but eh that's 14 year-old me still dreaming I guess
I would absolutely fucking love some kind of PvE mode in APB, it'd make me come back to the game for real, but that would require them to program actual AI enemy behavior and I find that pretty unlikely.
Holy shit! I forgot APB was even a thing.
It's been my dream ever since I played APB back in the OG days. Hell a basic zombie mode or whatever would have been great. Maybe in APB 2? :V
