I don't know if this is well known yet or not but I found it pretty fucking useful. When you spawn in with either an RPG or 40MM launcher, if you have a big ammo vest, you can pick up more explosives as soon as you spawn from the ammo box. That means if you're playing as demo with say an RPG and a launcher, you can run into battle with 3 rockets/3 grenades instead of 2/2.

Game still has weird bugs in first person, with certain grenadier weapons the character holds the launcher wrong in some instances, namely the M4, and the M16a2's mag glitches into and out of the gun when swapping between launcher and rifle. The game still doesn't quite run buttery smooth yet.

Hey guys is the co-op in this one any good? I never touched the pvp in the 1st game but I had a blast with the co-op. Also, how's the modding scene? I had some cool U.S. Expeditionary force mods for the first game, anything like that for the sequel? Maybe some voice line mods?
Co-op is imo more fun than the previous game; AI is more intelligent, there's vehicles and larger maps, and support abilities a'la Day of Infamy. Modding hasn't really happened as the game's still in beta at the moment.
Open Beta this weekend on steam, free for all. It's 37GB Also the game runs like absolute dick cheese for me, but I'm leaning on it being my FX8350 bottlenecking
Getting on the technical's 50 and laying waste is really fucking satisfying in this game, I had something like 60 kills during one round of co-op
this game still runs like ass on my machine
Oldschool, yeah baby. It's bizarrely fun to run around with a Mosin with no upgrades other than stripper clips. Still managed to have the second most kills on the team, too. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1717/57fb87b2-d45b-4991-93b5-995bfbb8135f/20181208032602_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1717/5832b43c-4f43-4e0d-895b-974c5840c6fa/20181208032628_1.jpg
Enjoying the new game so far but ffs those performance tweaks are sorely needed. The movement also feels like a downgrade from the original, too floaty/unresponsive, I've died several times because my stupid feet wouldn't go where I wanted them to or jumping didn't work the way I thought it would.
I'm liking the gunplay and customization a lot but I feel like Security needs a bit... more. Namely some solid colours on the body.
jeez this game is still very rough, installed it on an SSD and textures popping in left and right, lods not fully loading etc, movement feels very bad and unresponsive its like your feet are greased up and you slide everywhere, gunplay is okay but it feels choppy same with animations and 3rd person spectator camera going wild
The game would be great on just about any engine other than Unreal. God I hate it. I've never played a game on Unreal in the last 15 years that didn't feel floaty and disconnected from what I control
It's not really the engine, it's how it's used. I'm sure you've played games you had no idea used the unreal engine.
The game feels floaty for you guys? It feels perfectly fine to me. The only negative I have with the game so far is the optimization, but I play multiplayer games on low settings anyways for max fps so it runs smooth for me
Game is good, but optimization is horrid. Scopes are unusable even on "normal" detail. I don't see why they went to a new engine with bigger maps if it can't even handle the same amount of players and map sizes as source. The city map is fairly well optimized and good to play on, but the rest are HOLY shit laggy. I'm on a 6700k, 16gb ram & 970gtx and i probably get 40 fps average with shadows on low, TAA [required to not make the game look like arma 1] and everything else highish. For how mediocre the graphics are, it should not run this poorly. I honestly don't know of a single UE4 game that has been optimized except fuckin Fortnite.
Edit: This game is so fucked. You basically have to hit a sweet spot with your settings to unbias it off your cpu, or gpu, somehow get them to work together. I did these settings and now I'm 100+ all the time, from 40 average and optics halving my fps. WTf. http://i68.tinypic.com/2aam4qd.png http://i66.tinypic.com/20620io.png I think the key is low page pool, low shadows, and textures on high [very high tanked my fps]
Really hoping they add mod support after launch, I'm itching to tweak the game.
Yeah, put me down as someone who really likes the gameplay but for whom it runs like total ass. The pop-in is absurd.
I've got a 1070ti but a weaker processor (i5-6500) which settings do you guys recommend? everything low right now and im getting 60 with drops
I found scope quality to be a big hit to my FPS so I turned that down
is the beta like the "preload" or will i have to redownload the game at release?
Theoretically you'll just need to download whatever patches come, but the way the data is packed means it's gonna take a up a whole load of disc space and time while it updates things. Something about the way UE4 packs stuff, I don't quite remember. If it's any use, i've never noticed having to redownload the whole game after any of the major patches.

devs actually have control over packing fyi
Interesting choice of music. Not bad but it feels a bit odd.
Im really enjoying co-op, till I accidentally blew up 2 teammates with an RPG because they decided to sit right next to an enemy technical. Also had people screaming at me (in a good way) because I was holding a point for 1 full minute using only the M45 to pop heads and swivel like john wick. Ran out of ammo and charged one dude before getting shot in the back.
