Am I the only one who finds it kinda weird that the entire profit worshiping Corpus has the index? Gambling on itself sounds weird coming from a bunch of businessmen and I dont get why Nef would throw money to send his employees to fight literal demigods, even for entertainment
That fits perfectly in their theme. Casinos and other sources of gambling rigorously monitor and control the winning odds so that they profit heavily between payouts. But the entire idea of gambling is that you think you can beat the odds and come out on top, making a profit. And regardless of who wins, Nef Anyo runs the Index so he will still bring in something just by scraping off the top, and the Index isn't designed for fighting Tenno, its just standard sports betting that the Tenno take part in.
as they say, "the house always wins"
I hope the world boss stuff for Fortuna is actually interesting because Eidolon hunts are one of the worst things in the game.
Fortuna ARG prizes. https://i.redd.it/10qxan7syrw11.png Be on the lookout for the codes once they come out. They'll most likely be posted on the ARG discord.
There's an ARG? Aside from the discord links people keep giving out and the "super cryptic" gargled corrupted text tweets? is is that the ARG cause at this point I've kinda stopped caring about the whole "ARG leading to a new game/update" thing Valve was the undisputed master of that and when Blizzard tried with their Sombra "ARG" it really killed the concept for me. I was hoping DE would be able to one better
its meh. No where near as good as the MVM one
Very short-term ARG with like... three puzzles? Very low-end.
The Tenno seem to generally be interested in maintaining a balance of power between the Grineer and Corpus so them trying to kill their leadership only seems to happen when they are forced to do so.
Just in the discord they posted five puzzles (two of which lead to IRL hunts, one which had a minigame attached to it) and then a bunch of questions. The second puzzle was really easy, but the rest all took some time for the community. Admittedly not the largest or most complex ARG ever, but it wasn't a bad showing.
Cinxia (Ceres) Orokin Reactor Blueprint Vs Orokin Reactor Blueprint
Anyone mind posting the codes for redemption of those once they are live? I heard they will be on discord, and I dont realy use it. thanks!

New corpus units look awesome, hopefully they stop them from being pushovers compared to the grineer Also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_qC0mSL-4g
What's the exact release date for Fortuna again? Or is it only "sometime this week"
DE knows far too well not to give definite dates any more
it's still just "this week"
Definitely not yesterday

I really, really hope they stop doing the open worlds for a while. They're awesome, but also clearly hemorrhage development time
They've got two routes for further open world stuff as I see it anyway. Infested world, a settlement full of survivors/partially infested, could possibly tie in how exactly Alad V got un-infested with the help of the folk here, or the origin of the Plague Star. Sentient world? Syndicate settlements, more of a general Tenno presence. Tie it into the new story stuff coming up?
Eris would be interesting because the planet is fucking alive
If they do an Infested open world, hopefully Helminth gets some involvement. It just being a zombie dog generator right now seems like a missed opportunity in terms of the idea of Infested willing to help the Tenno.
Personally I just don't see the appeal in the open world areas. Technically and artistically they are outstanding, but when you are doing the same thing you do on regular missions but on a huge map it just feels like the same stuff, just more tedious.
So is Fortuna adding a yet another ton of new open world resources like Eidolon did? It was ridiculous in Eidolon, and I don't really wanna do all that over again with a different setting.

Can't wait to play the new Jet Set Radio game.
Unless I'm mistaken, the Infested tendrils wrapped around all those Corpus ships in Eris' orbit originate from the planet https://i.imgur.com/vCXMpMH.jpg So I wouldn't mind if they planned on making an open world for Eris at some point.
