The game is slowly turning in to just Assframe. That's ok.
so i finally got around to chains of harrow and the sacrifice last night and holy SHIT things are ramping up chains wasn't nearly as terrifying as i thought it would be but i don't think i'm ready for "that" to happen randomly now the sacrifice was some good shit but was it ever explained why ballas is grey and has an arm that's twice the length of his torso
The nuclear ass race is getting more intense - it has to, or Nidus and Nezha Deluxe shall forever reign supreme. I, for one, welcome the Assocalypse.
If the concept art for Atlas Deluxe is anything to go by, the ass train isn't stopping any time soon https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/193785/6e66090d-f36f-4c3d-a9c0-62ca55318c08/OOF.PNG

That doesn't look like a MOA to me
Was it ever hinted at how Corpus proxies are made? Clearly the limbs and guns are manufactured, but how do they end up making those weird sorta-organic torsos and heads, and how are they intelligent (enough to taunt Tenno and start that mess with the Animo Project)? I'm going to make a safe assumption and say it's more Technocyte Virus magical science shit, like with most Orokin stuff.

A friend of mine basically refused to continue playing the game for awhile, and now actively denies that ever happened.
I've finally got a hold of Tigris Prime. The orgasm has not stopped and every time I upgrade it, it intensifies. Send help, I can't stop disintegrating everything.
I've had all the parts for it all ready to go sitting in my foundry for the past 2 MRs. Can't get to MR 13 any faster 😩.
Is your friend Coverop?
I know people that were like that but with the second dream
It's not like the prime codexes confirmed that the frames were living creatures like, years before The Second Dream or anything
Yeah, Ember Prime lore revealed the Zariman kids who became the Tenno, and Rhino Prime lore revealed the Warframes were living monsters. I loved Second Dream for getting to see it finally in action and fully revealed, but at not point was it a surprise to me.
Still, given the wide range of appearances infested can have, why limit warframes to strictly human proportions anymore. Warframes could have four arms or have moa legs or whatever. Hell make a warframe that looks like a boiler.
Because to make non-humanoid frames they would have to create all brand new riggings and animations just to make it work. You'd have to think of various things like: How does this frame move, how does this frame hold weapons, how does this frame work in archwing, etcetc. It's a novel idea, but on a technical and practical level, it would be a mess.
You'd be designing an entire new system just for what, ultimately, amounts to basically a gimmick. And given that most Warframes, those after the initial prototype ones, were designed for use by the Tenno, having them roughly match in terms of motor control helps to make using them a lot easier. If you go from being a human with two legs and two arms to being a dryder with eight legs and two arms, thats not likely to be easy to control. Warframes aren't just infested, they were specifically built and designed, they are engineered. Infested just kinda become what they are. They're uncontrolled, cancer-like growth and mutation.
This and I wouldn't trust DE with anything more than two legs. My kavat constantly chases it's tail in almost every mission I'm on...
Infested variety would be hella neat I wouldn't mind having Corpus Chargers or Grineer Leapers / Exploders, stuff like that or just even mirroring the model once in a while to make the infested looks chaotic and messy like they imagine them as
I would point out that adding open world levels to a tileset game is also difficult and rife with problems, and is now their main means of operation going forward. Most animations have been in the game for literal years now, with a few additions for re-works. If every warframe to come in the future's "gimmick' as you put it is a different set of flashing lights followed by enemies dying you only prove the necessity for expansion of what a warframe can be. If we can have dogs, cats, and moa in a slot where static models which fire guns once had the monopoly I dont see how I'm making too far of a stretch.
The cats and dogs don't have to fire an array of different primary and secondary weapons and an array of wildly varying melee weapons, each with their own stances for attacks.
You could make an ultimate for a frame be a monster form, but other than that it would be a ridiculous amount of work
And now the skin is on the Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1616792573 my god those claws look amazing
