Works for dodging selfdamage from normal weapons and from amps, and works even for quick point blank blasts. Since Transference is now client-side it might even be usable in pubs!
I think that's intentional given your frame is invincible on Transference Out without an active ability effecting the frame, did you test this with an active ability (say AoE attached to the frame, or invisibility?).
Tested it with Phantasma & Ash's invisibility and Ogris & Ember's World on Fire and neither of the frames took any damage whatsoever. I don't think it's the 90% damage your Warframe gets when Transference is active.
I don't exactly have Phantasma or Ogris to test this, but if that does happen then maybe the guns function entirely differently with self-damage unlike the Penta I used on myself which was just an example.

I'm hoping they give her a custom jump animation as well. The current default jump seems odd on her. I did notice she shimmers when jumping. Wonder if that's part of a passive or just an effect for her jumping.

Nightwave is such a small change to the overall game but it feels so fresh. I worry that Catalysts and Reactors might end up being a bit rarer now but not having to miss an alert because you're at work eliminates a pretty big annoyance.

wasn't the idea behind nightwave to try and be more newbie-friendly? The highest level shit being shit like this is... not.
There's plenty of super easy newbie friendly missions. Having a couple of actual challenge missions doesn't make the system not newbie friendly.
If anything the elite weeklies incentivize people asking around, like what is a sortie, what is an Eidolon Hydrolyst etc. Although if they hit em with an Orb kill that's going to be real messy
i think the Kuva survival for 60 minutes is totally absurd. i was okay with the ayatan and bounty objective, but i've never even stretched a survival out to an hour, i always leave before 30 or 40 minutes.
