Holy crap the lighting and the look of the foggy environments look amazing. Really got to give it to Rockstar despite their annoying practice of leaving the PC out of their major games until a significant amount of time, they really know how to make the most of the current-gen consoles they're developing on.
I saw another video, the paperboys newspaper model texture actually matches what you see when you buy it yourself and read it. Such great minor details.
Man that looks great, cannot wait to see it on the XB1X
Also I'm digging the ambient and combat music so far. Synths and electric-sounding instruments surprisingly works very well with the game despite the time period and setting.
I just hope the frame rate for the base PS4 is decent.
I don't think I've felt the excitement for a new release the way I feel for this one, in a very, very, very long time.
Sad I probably won't be able to get this til thanksgiving but this looks like one of the best games yet. Footage is so great.
The clip I saw where the guy tries to ride his horse over a large rock and ends up flying off and killing the horse was pretty impressive. Usually in games like this, horses are magnetized to the ground. Gonna have to get used to that. No more mountain climbing Skyrim horses.
Man, I can't fucking wait. I was just getting into God of War after buying it a few months ago, but the hype for RDR 2 is so high for me that Ìve stopped playing because I know Ill be dropping it tomorrow night when RDR 2 unlocks
Im really regretting not taking friday off as vacation. Ah well, not enough notice to do that now.
I haven't taken a day off work to game in years, almost a decade and this is one I took two days off for just because I work too much and this game is going to be consuming.
You know what, if I'll return to this big convention I'm going next week and won't buy anything of note, I may as well purchase the game now for my PS4 Pro.
Fallout: New Vegas is an excellent western game in its own right, but, you know, you can only take it that far.
Also, I may as well purchase a cooling stand for my console. It's not that I've experienced very loud noises from it in the past during sessions, but better safe than sorry

I've always been a fan on frontier styled games, living in the wilds and such thanks to New Vegas, so I'm eager to do the same here.
After I get over my personal conflicts about getting the game I know I'm gonna cave and pre-order one day before release or the same day to guarantee I get the game, but the ethical side of me wants to wait on news of a PC release (and punishment for being a dunce for triple dipping on V and never playing the last two), I might just sell my copy of the game to someone if/once the PC version is right around the corner.
I know I haven't stopped talking about that for the past couple of pages but I've already annoyed everyone irl for being uppity about it so I'm not sure where else to vent my bad.

I'm usually pre lucky with locations, there's two gamestops about a 10 minute drive from each other and where I live, and both are sort of out of the way so as long as they're organized they usually get through everyone relatively quickly.
I think what sold me was hearing base ps4 runs it pretty well, I have a base one from a few years ago that I use just for exclusives like Bloodborne, Spider-Man and (at the time) Yakuza so I don't wanna drop 400 bucks on a console I don't really use or with (apparently) a new generation around the corner. I didn't get to see it but judging from the ratings on the video, I guess it runs pretty well?
Considering I'll return from said convention around the 4th of November, I expect the bulk of the preorders to have been processed by then, thus allowing me a tranquil purchase, no?

Actually wasn't expecting it to be that fast since Microsoft servers tend to be a bit slower.
I have no idea how long my took as my X-Box decided it wanted to turn off half way through.
Pre-ordered but dang might have to wait a few days after release to play properly. Home button isn't working on my Dualshock 4 gamepad so it couldn't connect to my PS4. After looking around it seems to be an issue with the conductive film inside.
I had another broken DS4 which had the buttons all mushy and pretty much unusable, but I remember it still having a functional home button. After a few hours of tinkering and research and swapping parts between, I finally got my controller to work and connect to my PS4, but sadly the D-Pad Down button isn't functioning. I'm not sure how much the D-Pad is gonna be used in the actual game but I don't know if I can play with a missing button like that.
Gotta wait until my next payday in a few days to just get a new controller.
Ordered a physical copy because I have a lot of stuff I want to get done on friday so was hoping for a late afternoon delivery, that way I have enough time to get stuff done without being anxious to get started.
Just received a email that it has already been sent using the postal service, knowing that any mail in the Netherlands takes usually a day at most this means that there might be a chance I get my copy a day early...
Anyone have a reupload of the base PS4 footage? I wanna check it out and see how it holds up
