This pelt quality shit is really getting on my nerves. Actually managing to get some of the rarer animals is already a pain in the ass but on top of that they may just be 2 or 1 star making them worthless for crafting.
Riding down a road, see 3 civilian riders ahead, I'm in a rush and right as I overtake them a cougar pops out of no where and I get knocked off my horse and cat nearly kills me in one swipe, this is all happening practically under the 3 civilian riders and I unload my repeater into the cat killing it but somehow angers the 3 riders and they proceed to shoot me..? why
My Arthur (sorry but I haven't found a quick way to transfer images from ps4 to pc) https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/237702/6c993ed5-1a5e-450a-967b-c93bf364867c/44896260_284837575696332_3611914444776407040_n.jpg Here's a saloon shenanigan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o71NMLdxci0
I read that your beard stays at length 4 until you get past chapter 4
I think I was able to craft small arrows at my campfire.
The more I play the more I want a sequel to Undead Nightmare. Imagine hunting mythical creatures and making clothes out of them, or customizing your weapons with holy symbols and silver bullets.
Anyone know if it's possible to sell or get rid of weapons? I really don't want to cycle through 3 different repeaters or rifles.
Guys I can't find a barber. The Valentine one is never there. I tried different times of day, leaving and coming back after a mission etc. The icon is there, just not the barber himself. Also, when we moved camp, it said something like "new grooming options unlocked in the camp", but there were no new options. I need to cut my hair goddamit
How's the animal spawning in this one? I recently played RDR1 again for nostalgia sake and the amount of bear spawning was even more insane than I remembered.

Guys, what the fuck. I just found this. Can snakes even grow this big. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dqm3y8oU0AALZJ2.jpg:large
I am so confused about the horse cargo system in this game. I got 2 different perfect pelts, and stowed them on the back of my horse, and there seems to be no way of getting them back off. I thought maybe you keep them on there and they will show up in the crafting windows even though they are back on my horse, but the window for crafting a new satchel says I have none of the pelts I need even though I do. Is my game bugged or something? I can see the pelts in my horse cargo, but I just can't take them off in the same way I have everything else I've had stored on my horse. I had the legendary bear pelt stowed in the same way and had no trouble taking it back off.
You give them to the crafter via the sell menu.
Sort of 2011 word record https://secure.i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01716/python_1716556i.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m6Z8Vc6_ZYo/TJMl1k7GK3I/AAAAAAAAImM/4L8az6IP9H8/s1600/1.jpg
What, and then it retroactively shows up as having one in the bag crafting menu in the caravan camp? That's a really weird way of doing that if so.
Sorry, donate it to the camp
Jesus, I think I might be blind. How did I miss the donate option at the butcher station.Thanks.
The games has so much detail and possibility it’s truky easy to miss things in this game. Its kind of of amazing for that
this looks great i hope some people import rdr2 models into garry's mod
I can explain in more depth if you want to. Okay so; telling the basics first, you will first have to encounter an animal that contains the ability to being skinned and for you to receive a pelt. When you encounter.... lets say a Whitetail Deer, you can either use your gun or aim at it to see the quality of the undamaged pelt. Any damage that you do that isn't immediately fatal has a chance to reduce this to good and then to poor. Most of the time you'll encounter animals with only either good or poor pelts. This is normal. Now you can use the info bar to let a small pop up detailing the animals features. However the most important thing that this also recommends to you is what gun/bow & ammo you should be using if you'd like a clean kill. For instance if you use a pistol on a Bison you'll damage the pelt. A critical factor is that no matter what a pelt no matter it's quality can be reduced if you don't immediately score a fatal/mortal wounding shot. So please be warned. The criteria for animals is basically: Varmint Rifle for things that are smaller than a wolf. Bolt Action rifles for anything bigger. Once done you can bring the pelts to either the butcher or trapper. You need your horse nearby to sell the pelts you've brought to the butcher/trapper. Happy hunting!
Fucking wow. Nearly 20 hours in and I finally found the quest log. I must've missed the tutorial prompt somewhere (Left on the d-pad, by the by)

Mantaining a nice goatee is going to be a bitch, isn't it?
Heh. They made a call-back to Dutch's final speech in Red Dead Redemption 1 during the mission "Favored Sons" RDR1: "We can't always fight nature, John. We can't fight change. We can't fight gravity."
Where can i reliably find cougars? I've heard one or two around horse shoe overlook once awhile ago, but have not seen any since
the first bounty hunter mission turned into a debacle for me while riding down to get him, i fucked up and sent my horse flying off the edge of a cliff, killing it. after the dude jumped into the river, i was able to chase him down on his horse a little bit before i tried going into cinematic camera mode and crashed into a rock, snapping the horse's neck and sending its body into a river. i was able to catch up to him on foot but i had to carry him all the way back to Valentine on my shoulder.
So Jack and Geoff from Achievement Hunter are listed in the end credits (Geoff is even credited with his Middle name, Lazer), I didn't spot anyone else though.
I've given up on hats. They fall off far to easily for me to be bothered with picking it back up after every single tussle.
Just grab it off the horse inventory
