I just discovered pretty much by accident that you can read Arthur's journal where he keeps track of past events, updated daily with little doodles and stuff showing what Arthur accomplished during that day. I spent a day studying and hunting birds and the resulting duck doodles were hilariously bad, very cool feature though.

So I lit some guys on fire for fun and I just realised that they lose their hair after being roasted. They really put in all the details.

Some of the details in combat that really wowed me is how they handled the bullet decals too. Shoot someone in the eye and you can actually see sometimes the eyeball and tendon hanging out from the face, and chunks of brain and skin actually forming around an entry and exit wound, it's insane. I remember Max Payne 3 actually had individual sound files data mined for each shoe type, surface type and whether the shoe is wet or not. It's barely noticeable and yet they still went the mile and above for those tiny details. I'm really wondering how much more details people aren't noticing at first too for RDR2 and how long until every nook and cranny can be fully explored.

Can PS4 or XB1 data files be extracted yet? I wonder what we can find with Datamining.

Some break-ins are side missions, but I've been able to break into most places I randomly came across. I've had a really great random encounter by just breaking into a random place, it was just incredibly immersive. Not gonna spoil it of course.
