Armadillo is in!!

I spent way too long trying to find an Armadillo.
I'm still unsure about the platform I'd like to play this game on, provided that yes, I'm going to buy the shit out it.
On one hand, much like for every game in existence, I'd really like to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, mostly for the price tag and the fact I'd be able to acess the online mode (which, I'm not going to lie, is the feature I'm looking for much more than the single player campaign) for free. Everyone knows however that, at least at this point, a PC release is up in the damn air. I'm kinda confident about it, though: I think the PC port of GTA V still sells well on Steam to this day, so Rockstar Games can definitely see the opportunity. Also, as far as I know the original Red Dead Redemption didn't come to PC as well due to its troubled development cycle, but by the looks of it this time the situation is vastly different.
On the other hand, however, I wouldn't mind playing the game on my Playstation 4 Pro. Call it a nostalgia factor, if you will, but, should they ever release a PC port, perhaps the game could run even better on my console than on my dekstop computer. Also, all my friends interested in this game have already told me they are going to get it on the PS4, and I'd like to keep them close for the whole online angle. The drawback of this option would be of course that I'd be forced to buy a Playstation Plus subscription (which, if I must be honest, wouldn't even be a con, 'cause the service awards you enough goodies monthly as to be kinda worth it anyway).
What to do, what to do ...
Im a person who'd wait for pc, but because you have friends that play on ps4 who are planning on playing together, I'd recommend ps4, so long as you can manage that psplus cost
Someone on Reddit looked closely at one of the shots in the new trailer. Seems like dismemberment is confirmed.

It's a bit funny how we're going full circle on Rockstar's implementation of gore in their M-rated games. Manhunt, GTA 3 and the 3D-verse of GTA games had decapitation and stuff, then was removed in GTA IV due to being more grounded in reality and souped up instead in a different way via the Euphoria ragdoll physics. They turned up the violence again in Max Payne 3 with detailed entry and exit wounds. Then we now finally got the evolution of everything once more with the Euphoria physics, detailed wounds and decapitation combined in RDR 2.
It's going to be at least a whole year until RDR2 is ported to PC. I'm more betting on two, because GTA5 took that long.
Oh, they will port it. The only reason why RDR1 didn't get ported (from what I recall) is that the game barely ran as-is on console, with spaghetti code up the ass. Hell, Bully was way more fortunate and got a port after a while and I really didn't think it did, and if you remember the release version of Bully on PC... it crashed randomly. Then a patch made not crash but autoskip cutscenes. Thankfully, the games good now.
So just buy it on console. Sell your used copy when its on PC for ten-twenty quid. Hope Rockstar has a character transfer option, or don't and just play the (hopefully) less outright greify RDR2 Online from the start.
I don't mind a wait for a PC port since I'll probably need a new PC anyways.
Oh wow, I thought only the Blackwater region was in the new game but cool. I wonder if Mexico is in the game too.

Stole this from Reddit also. Think this is him?
I just noticed, the gap in the floorboards is the exact same as it was in RDR1.
Perhaps. The bonus outfit is called the Nuevo Paraiso outfit, so it wouldn’t surprise me
The first person mode looks so fucking good hnnngg, its literally exactly what I always dreamed off when I played RDR.
I am so excited to get my hands on this.

Dunno if late, but the entirety of New Austin is in RDR2, according to this [Spoilers] Red Dead Redemption 2's Map Will Include (Redacted) |..
So you can expect the whole map to be something like this: https://i.imgur.com/OYgIf2e.jpg
The upper part is based on a very early, leaked version of the world map, so when it comes to details it's inaccurate but should give a sense of scale.
If that is Herbert Moon, I wonder if they'll stop you from killing him some how.
Everytime you shoot him he doesn't get hurt; he just yells "I'm Herbert Moon!" in increasing volume.
I remember in the GTA IV DLCs, both in The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, during the mission where you trade the diamonds, if you kill Niko/Johnny/Luis it just says 'you attacked [character]' and fails the mission. It make sense in Niko and Johnny's cases since they were technically on the same side, but it does the same when you're Luis in TBoGT. Maybe it won't be as anti-climatic as that but it could become a fail-state, though perhaps potentially more creative.
Subforum Change
Take a look at this! I'm not going to move the thread over because I want you all to spread out discussion rather than having it in one thread.
welp try again with a megathread since nobody has posted in the RDR2 forum for 4 days
Don't forget to subscribe to receive notifications from the forum
Not that I'm opposed to a megathread, but I think the inactivity is due to everyone is waiting for the release at this point for the time being, and it's difficult to discuss much on the topic further unless Rockstar releases another trailer or further details and tidbits being shown and leaked.
I needa find a lass to pump my grief into.. god knows this long, hard, trail has my fury twisted..

I wonder how it'll look and run on the Xbox one s. I'm tempted to just wait it out and wait for a possible pc release though.
Even if I had a good PC, I wouldn't sit out one of the biggest games of the year. Especially since it'll probably be a year or two before it gets ported over. May as well just take the dive.
If this is true then holy fuck, I can't wait to go back to the old locations and seeing the updated settings.
Red Dead Online is looking good.
