I pre-ordered digitaly on xbox, here's hoping it lets me download 2 days early or more cause if not it's gonna take my internet 2 days to download from the release day lol
I got a second hand 360 a year back and played the shit out of Red Dead Redemption. Now I just got a second hand PS4 Slim, in preperation for RDR2. Playing the shit out of GTA V sp while I wait. I'm so ready, I even grew a beard.
some of the trophies/achievements have leaked Red Dead Redemption 2 Trophy List Leak! *SPOILERS* Another Early..
I've been playing RDR1 back compat, it's so good playing on the X
Would love to replay rdr1 after RDR2 but i've heard the ps4 version is terrible that sony removed it or something. shame tbh
right. i keep forgetting they released a better loking version of RDR1 for the X. i assume it runs really smooth too?
On the X it runs at 60fps IIRC. It's also on the standard X-Box 1.
Still hate how blurry and low res the PS3 version of Redemption is.
Yeah 4K at a constant 30fps
this is the version of the game i experienced ._. and seeing the XBOX1X version is kinda making me jealous. but at least i only had to deal with that stupid invincible headless npc bug once on the Ps3 version. I hear it's common to occur on the 360, and i can recall vinesauce vinny running into it.
it looks super crisp. nice to see what the 4k res can do with such an old game.
Ran into it on the XB1 version when it first hit Backwards Compatibility, though I haven't seen it since.
hmm. could be one of those weird runtime things where the game doesn't perform well enough and something isn't loaded correctly. Maybe the better performance on xbonex and xbone mitigates it?
All these people listing all the things they want from RDR to be in RDR2 and nobody's mentioned the most important thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVVXyKP1FVk
I hope the difference between PS4 and PS4 Pro isn't too drastic. If it is, I'll probably end up finally caving in and getting a Pro.
Oh wow, I don't remember RDR1 being so blurry. I wonder what RDR2's performance will be on a regular xbox 1. My friend said he would let us borrow his to play.
Regular XB1 is all I own, so that's what I'm getting it on.
http://www.vulture.com/2018/10/the-making-of-rockstar-games-red-dead-redemption-2.html Newish article on behind the scenes and some general details. As much as I look forward to it, it seems like they really sunk an absurd amount of resources, like 700 voice actors and absurdly long work weeks. Probably going to be hearing horror stories about the making of this thing.
Baring in mind they don't have mandatory overtime anymore. It's still a bit fucked that people will put in those hours to get shit done but it isn't RDR1 days where crunch was essentially forced.
Even if it's not "officially" mandatory, you pretty much have to work overtime just because of the work culture they are nurturing. I mean, even the words of their CEO "It's a privilege to work at our company and our labels." is quite telling
Seems like the same story you hear from nearly every other AAA game studio.
I'm surprised they've not delayed it yet
Haven't they already delayed it twice?
I meant again lol
Yeah it was.
Rockstar gets a maximum of two delays, then take two brings out the whip.
So, do you guys think there'll be a Rockstar Editor?
I hope so
I hope the cheat codes are good, and no 5 minute invincibility bullshit like in GTA5
I hope it actually has cheat codes.
