I'm extremely tempted to get it on console, but I'm trying to redeem myself after being stupid and triple dipping on V. I'd rather wait until it gets announced on PC since I have a first edition PS4 so it's not like I'm gonna be playing it decently anyway. I had issues because I know they'll focus more on multiplayer but it's starting to look like they know this so they wanna actually make a completely full game instead of what they did with V.
Just pure speculation, but am i wrong in hoping that they have the dead eye work in online, like max payne 3’s worked? Only On players in line of sight
They might just keep it the way it was before so it doesn't slow down time in MP.
Well they took my money for the pre order last night/early hours this morning, getting closer now
i'm sure if someone has worked at rockstar they could easily find work somewhere else if they find the job too demanding.
I mean i'd imagine we should be able to Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Now Available For Xbox One | this was posted a while back so if he's lying he'll get a lot of backlash lol
I am gonna buy physical on release day, here is hoping for not having to download a huge patch
I'm buying into the hype train and I got the ultimate edition \o/
Sure but that is besides the point - it's just crappy business practice. I too work for a AAA games company and the crunch isn't nearly as brutal - for some reason, we still produce games without the employees feeling terrible.
As someone who has some personal reasons for not buying it day one (waiting on a pc release, not exactly confident in the games future regarding dlc etc) would it bet a good idea to wait a bit and see if I can find a used copy of the game? The game's shaping up to be amazing but I don't want to double dip nor upgrade my ps4 for it
Launch trailer tomorrow and pre loads start this Friday woop
The PS4 background music has been ripped. Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Background Music I don't own a PS4, I assume this is music that plays if you have the game selected on the menu?
you buy a new one for 110% of the price because of your recklessness
Few games ( that I know of support this ). But how this works is that you're in the menu and you go down on the Left Stick. What essentially shows is a Game Hub of sorts ( Think Steam's Game Hub ) to see Live streams, videos, Art work and Downloadable Content
Was there any actual explanation behind that after all or was just just rockstar hating fun?
Makes sense. They did the same for GTA V and Max Payne 3 last gen and this looks like it’ll push the hardware as far as it can go
Maybe they just intended it to be a get out of jail free card for tough situations.
rdr2 will be the first two disk ps4 game (excluding game collection bundles) https://cdn.segmentnext.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/PS4-Red-Dead-Redemption-2.jpg
105 GB install, wow
Geez, time to delete some games I guess. 500 GB are filled so quickly.
Pre-ordered locally yesterday, stoked that they're doing a 9pm pre-release the night before. Midnight releases used to be fun, but in recent years I've found myself too damn tired to even play once I've gotten home. It'll be nice to be able to get a few hours of play in before going to bed at a reasonable time.
I won't lie and I don't want to sound like I'm shilling to hard; but it's been a very long time that a game's previews and hands-on impressions have gotten me this hyped for a AAA video game. Lately gaming is still something I enjoy, but don't really seek out or follow too many titles because of fatigue and general sameness; but Rockstar simply is able to do stuff on a grand scale that few other developers even have the resources to attempt; and it sounds like the game has a heavy focus on improving NPC's and AI, something I felt took a hit from GTAIV to V and it seems like it's going to be such a breath of fresh immersive air. Literally cannot wait till next Thursday to see if the game will live up to my lofty expectations or possibly exceed them; thankfully my GameStop is doing a 9pm release. The last midnight release I remember going to was Resident Evil 5's back whenever that was. Shame about that development crunches though; really don't understand why they'd risk burning out the talent that makes these titles. I mean I "get" it, but it's so counter-intuitive to pursue faster profits likely due to Take2's demands.
Launch trailer in the next hour or do, can't wait to see what they're gonna show us
Hopefully not a serious case of blue balls. Been looking forward to it all night (was working).

That single line from Marston, oof, these guys know how to build hype.
Kind of underwhelming as far as Rockstar launch trailers go.

Damn, the wait was already killing me. That trailer didn't help.
