Definitely won't get this on console, considering I know those fucking trailers weren't filmed on one
I dunno, the XB1X enhanced games can look pretty damn good.
Had my copy ordered through Amazon, but just found out Gamestop and Bestbuy are allowing you to pick it up at 9 on the 25th. As I won't be able to play it Friday night, hope to get some hours in on the 25th. Pretty excited.
I mean, how do you "Know" something you can't really know
I want this more than RDR2
Tommy Versetti also makes an original appearance in one of the game's story missions but if you interact with him in any way he kills you immediately.
...Why are people okay with paying so much extra for a digital copy? On PS4, RDR2 is 60 pound from the store, while from GAME.co.uk it's fifty. Being able to play "earlier" for ten pounds just isn't worth it.
Problem is that if I went to the midnight launch, I'd be paying about a tenner in taxis cos I don't drive and the buses would have stopped by that point. By the end of it I'd have still shelled out 60 quid so I might as well just stay at home and get the digital version. But I agree, £60 is steep.
I know I could save the tenner if I just got it the next morning, but that is unacceptable
I don't "know", but Rockstar does it with every game.
embrace a changing and reactive world
I mean, the original GTA V trailers were all made with the console version, so I wouldn't be surprised if these RDR2 trailers use the console version as well.
Spider-Man runs at 30 and you really can’t tell
I still don't understand how people can seriously find 30fps to be unplayable / unenjoyable.
30 FPS in most computer game is straight up unacceptable to me
however, 30 FPS on a console is way more okay. Usually consoles can lock games to 30, and never dip. Playing it at 30 when there’s no dips is perfectly fine.
If i lock a lot of modern games to 30 on my gaming PC many of them still drop a few frames during the busiest scenes which is very noticeable, but if it drops a few frames from 60 or 144 it’s not very easy to notice
30 doesn't bother me on console or PC.
For a single player game 30 being pretty rock solid (e.g. Spiderman) is a completely fine experience. Obviously 60 would be nicer, but if it can be stable 30 is dope.
I'm hoping for just more consistent performance than I got with GTA V at launch, but with so long to optimise the engine with GTA V I have pretty high hopes for it being stable
Honestly I'm kinda worried about the difference in quality between the console versions but if its graphically at least on par with gta v and gets a solid 30 fps I'm ok with it.
I've played games fine at 20 fps, it's all about the frame timing
To me it's always weird going back to a 30 fps game after being used to >60. After a while you get used to it though, I guess. Has anyone here sold their original ps4 to replace it with a pro model? If so, was it worth it? I'm kinda thinking about that now - but not if the benefits are too few
I did, I don't have a 4k/HDR display and it's still worth it. Noticeable improvement in quality, sometimes with a frame boost too. Most games also support supersampling which works wonders for getting rid of aliasing. It's up to you if you're willing to part with the cash, but if so I don't think you'll regret it
If the 30 is locked then it's fine. Then you get shit like friggin' Bloodborne 1.0 which I kinda can't believe launched like it did. Framedrops for no reason to abysmal levels and 30+ second loading times per death.
PRETTY BOI
Because when you're used to the smoothness of 60+ FPS, 30 feels weird and choppy
Then wait for a pc release but honestly games like god of war and spider man run very well at 30 and aren’t choppy.
Im coming from playing black ops 4 at 120 FPS and I still think games like that are smooth
I've been a PC gamer my whole life and oh my god you're a baby if you can't handle it.
I don't like 30 on my PC because everything I play on it runs well. But you get used to 30 if it constantly stays 30 on console.
I always did wonder how people are so different in adjusting between average frame-rates. I play on a 144hz screen on PC and I definitely notice the smoothness and prefer it, but I can go back to 30fps just fine both PC and console, especially if the frame-timing and overall fps is at least consistent in the 30fps target.
It takes me an hour or two to transition imho. But it's almost always smooth sailing after that.
I don't mind 30 but it has to be consistent. It's easier to notice a 3-4 frame dip from 30 than it is from 60(not saying it's impossible of course)
I've been avoiding most if not all trailers and such and I'm worried the minute I see gameplay I'm gonna crack and buy it , hopefully I can get my hands on a used copy shortly after it releases
One thing I miss from RDR1 and GTAIV is the drunk ragdoll physics, I want them back, not in multiplayer as I know it'd probably mess up and look shitty for other players but in SP, I loved stumbling around and up stairs
I mean I'm gonna play MP but i'm mainly getting for SP, I love the details in Rockstars singleplayer worlds
