I hope the smash 4 main menu is actually a radial menu with button coordinates responding to the tilt of the stick rather than being selected sequentially by screen placement. I really like radial menus and it would be a HUGE step up from the shitfire that was smash 4's menu also, 3D menu rotated with the c-stick when?

My whole wishlist is characters that will never ever happen but would be so fucking cool to have in smash Ranger (Quake) Sol (Guilty Gear) Kyo (King of Fighters) Beat (JSRF) Fio (Metal Slug, perhaps as a costume or echo for Marco, I don't really care either way) Tabuu (Brawl, the subspace boss) Billy Hatcher (from the game of the same name) But hey at least I got Richter who was in my wishlist two months prior to his direct. Here's hoping massive hero soccer guy pulls some crazy shit out of his ass and gives me one of these

Pipe dream characters I would love to see in Smash is Ranger, Sol, and a Metal Slug rep as well, along with Gordon Freeman, Spike (Ape Escape), and Malcolm (Unreal Tournament). Both Spike and Malcolm would be even more unfeasible since Ape Escape is almost basically dead now, and Unreal Tournament is largely overshadowed by Fortnite even though the original Unreal was one of Epic's most successful games. Also, I think it would be neat if the Metal Slug rep fighter was kinda like the Koopalings, except with the alts being other playable characters throughout the Metal Slug series, such as the original 4 characters and Trevor and Nadia from Metal Slug 4.

you could even get Ralf, Leona, and Clark since iirc the ywere playable in a few metal slugs! Marco/Fio/Tarma/Eri/Nadia/Ralf/Leona/Clark would be my picks, 4 gals and 4 guys

It'd be cool if they were to announce Kyo, and then Sakurai mentions how the short hop mechanic was inspired by the game he comes from, which is why they made short hop aerials its own mechanic. It'd be a nice way to show appreciation to a series that has barely had any. Besides, SNK has a bunch of games on the Switch and even some on the Wii and DS. SNK Heroines is also coming soon so there's that. That could mean there's a very slight chance he could be added.

How about we add Sami from Advance Wars but make her exactly how Fio would technically play, but never actually mention Metal Slug

Banjo and Paper Mario are basically all that are left on my wishlist. Paper Mario probably isn't making it in as I assume each series will be repped with 8 characters max. I don't think Banjo is realistically making it in either, but these are actually his best chances (Phil Spencer being okay with sharing Banjo, general good vibes between MS/Nintendo, and Vergeben's rumors of Minecraft content getting minor representation in Ultimate).

I would unironically be excited if Steve from MC was announced for smash I'd be interested to see what sort of gameplay they came up with for him

I heard suspicions that you have to actually unlock the alt costumes this time around, since Ridley had his Meta Ridley outfit shown, but it hasn't been in any demos yet.
