Dementia hits the elderly harder these days.
I'm pretty sure he's - like - seven years younger than me, though. I actually thought he was a doc kid for a good while.
When people think Banjo's getting in https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/283416964158849024/486623253159477248/1536085944351.png
don't see why it's so unbelievable
wait, elder is only 5 years old?
People want less of this kind of artstyle in the game, it's not that they don't like them, it's that w can have more original. If you look at K. Rool for instance, this is an interesting and original choice, not another generic human with a sword that, sure can do some cool tricks, but is otherwis less inspired than a king crocodile.
I really just want more characters like Mac, Ryu, Falcon, Lucario, and Fox no wacky antics, no swords or weapons, just really really solid normals, characters that let their fists do the talking. yes i know aura is a gimmick but lucario as a has really fun and solid buttons and throws with a very direct martial arts basis
777? dude please die already.
fortress boss remix, made by a mgs composer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBBt7D-1wnw&feature=youtu.be
Loving the thread of having third party music composers do remixes/covers of first party Nintendo songs, and vice versa. Ultimate is really coming off as a true passion project.
the fire emblem characters alongside ones like the LOZ characters, kid icarus characters, shulk, ZSS, little mac, and richter are literally the best lookin characters in the game fight me
The fucking FLUTES AAAAAH
the point is a lot of people think their designs are boring and want more stylized characters. simplifying the complaint to "they just don't like anime" is pretty mindless too
if that's what people find boring about them then that's what they'll complain about. i can guarantee you if every fire emblem character looked like mario they'd be complaining about too many marios

that's cool, and you're right. the anime style does fit in well with the more stylized characters. but i don't see many people saying they want "realistic" human characters. i see more people saying they want heavily stylized characters like king k rool
I want more weirdos like Game & Watch
The weird picks are always the coolest reveals.
if I remember correctly the general consensus on Wiifit was "Why bother"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBBt7D-1wnw New SMB3 Fortress Boss remix, separate from the teased SMB3 Bowser Battle remix. Maybe we'll get a new Bowser's Castle or dungeon-themed adventure or multiplayer Mario stage, because this seems like a lot of boss themes for a relatively grassland-overpopulated series stage roster.
Richter is possibly the most perfect blend of raw masculine power and anime-esque beauty to ever exist yes i love him and i'm not ashamed
His inclusion got me to play Castlevania Rondo of Blood (PC Engine CD version) and it was really really good. I'm glad he's in.
loving richter is a sign of patrician taste, why would you ever be ashamed
wiifit being more orless the representative of the wii as the most sold piece of hardware nintendo has ever produced. it was that or a humanized version of the virtual boy.
I can't wait for Super Smash Bros Big Punch to be announced in 4-5 years and I get to read all the excellent posts about how "Ultimate wasn't that much of a passion project it's just a souless cash grab" "Yeah the music wasn't as banging as these new mixes gosh" I'm getting major deja vu from corners of the internet right now
Y'know, having favela and yacht come back without any changes really makes me worried that they're just gonna do the same thing with Bartlett
No joke, Wii-Fit Trainer is one of the most fun characters. She just controls so tightly, and I fucking love rapidly push-upping into my opponents before sending them flying with a downward dog and, for additional insult, using the "that's right, feel the burn!" taunt. Also, making her Down-B Deep Breathing was a stroke of fucking genius. She's the character no one asked for, but I'd honestly rank her among the best additions to the cast just in terms of concept and execution.

I've been brainstorming an anime fighter smash-like hybrid game with a friend of mine and I think we've come about some interesting ideas Air dodging would work like melee, mostly for the sake of wavedashing and wave landing. Perhaps like smash ultimate, so air dodging wouldnt make you literally helpless and just result in long lag. All options would be available immediately upon dashing. You'd be able to cancel the initial dash animation with anything, including a dash. This just generally enriches offensive play and raises the pace of neutral. hit stun would be long, like smash 64 long, but with included air teching after a fixed duration during hit stun. This tech window would be intuitive and not scale with a combo counter or move strength, and wouldn't be necessary if the hitstun of the move is shorter than the window required before you're able to air tech. up tilts can be jump canceled. Since most up tilts serve as launchers or combo starters, this being a common design choice opens new combo routes as well as pressure situations, e.g. up tilt x jump cancel x fast fall nair x shield poke with down tilt, or something along those lines all air normals can be canceled into specials, but only on hit. This opens more combo opportunities, as well as rewarding offstage risk taking. You'd potentially be able to go deeper off stage, because the moment you hit an opponent while edge guarding, you're capable of recovering, preventing you from suffering the lag before being able to recover. Hit confirms in general would become more threatening, and characters with high-risk high-KO moves like Wario, Luigi, and Jigglypuff would become significantly more viable as they'd potentially have threatening confirms into their KO moves. Meter. Every character would have an EX variant to their specials, at the cost of meter. EX properties could vary between multiple hits, armor, invulnerability, the works. This is also a means to incorporate really powerful moves (e.g. melee Fox's shine) without them always being an available option to dominate the competition. There would also be super moves, which would function somewhat similarly to supers in games like The King of Fighters or Fighting EX Layer, focusing more on utility rather than cinematic damage. These could be many things, like super potent fireballs that extend combos and deal a lot of damage, or a devastating punch that flings the opponent straight up, either for a KO or for the user to exploit their landing (hmmm wonder where that could be found) just thoughts and memes
wii fit is my main fight me nerds We need to make another FP tourney once this game comes out man, icemaz where you at?
