Besides Dixie Kong, there are no other really popular candidates for western-made characters owned by eastern studios. You'd have to start going with 3rd party selections from Ubisoft (Rayman), Activision (Crash, Spyro) or Microsoft (Banjo-Kazooie) to find any others that have a lot of traction.
Had a semi-random thought but what if there was a toggle for a revive in 4 player free for alls.
It would be strictly casual only but if you lose all your stocks you can mash the a button to fill a bar and if you manage to fill it you revive with one stock and like, 50% health tacked on.
Heck make it so the revive bar fills on it's own slowly so you can't just fill it to 98% and then wait for the final 2 players to be battered and tired.
Just kind of came to me while watching some goofing off matches where a player with less skill would get KO'd mercilessly then have to sit out while the other 2-3 players fought out their stocks.
This seems really redundant when the default is a timed-match to avoid this very problem.
To be fair, I genuinely forgot timed matches existed lol.
Like I said was just watching some 4player FFA and hearing some players go "hurry up and lose so I can play again" got me thinking
(Was also thinking of Bombermans revenge carts)
