tbh I didn't really follow smash 4 when it came out, so coming into the whole thing recently and seeing duck hunt was in the game was honestly so cool.
For me when ultimate comes out, the DLC characters and melee characters are practically newcomers to me because I've only really played brawl and smash on 3ds, and am looking forward to ultimate a lot.

I still think Marth and Ness, rather than Ike and Lucas, should had been starters in Brawl.

Falchion, Falchion, Falchion, Binding Blade, Ragnell, Yato, and even Robin got given a Levin Sword despite not having a Prf. option.
Celica has Beloved Zophia. Doesn't matter what else she may or may not do, she has a named sword, they absolutely would make her use it if she got into Smash.
Give me Micaiah if you've gotta go main characters, or Wrys if batshit picks are on the table. And while we're at it, give me a pantsless Marth alt.
I wouldn't mind more FE characters as long as they're creative like Robin and Corrin

I prefer if we get another FE fighter, it's a villain. Black Knight is the most obvious one as a Ike Echo.

Generic general is where it’s at. Don’t even say it’s a FE character. Just give it the huge axe and claim it to be a gundam.

I wouldn't mind the overabundant FE representation, if we actually got some decent representation of the major "Weapon Triangle" that they've had going on for a while. It really says something negative about creativity when you have this major feature, but have 5-6 sword wielders as your reps.
Looking at the range of Belmont: I think that a spear would now be a fine weapon to include. But my heart will always be set on the overtly large axe.
