It'll automatically complete and pick all your choices in KOTFE/KOTET/etc. based on your character's background though
Gear at the very bottom left looks really cool. I've been meaning to try this game but never got around to it. How is the game now after all these years?

Also that gear would be one of the sets you get from beating the Exarchs of the Star Fortresses in heroic mode, a trooper helmet from turning in alliance boxes, and a lightsaber you unlock through the KOTFE storyline.
Funnily enough its one of the only sets I have that doesn't use cash shop pieces.
Sweet. I wanted to try this but was initially put off by the subscription service as it will be the first MMO I play with one. The site says I can play free or by premium and I think they took out the table differentiating the two services. I know prenium gets me a level 70 for free but I wonder if I can just a level 1 character up to 70 as a free character.
You can work up to 70 "free" if you have the expansions that add that cap. Luckily with the way the game works one month gives you all expacs available at time of sub to keep even when it expires
I've been co-oping as a Scoundrel with my brother (Commando). We're at level 65 and on Corellia. Once we finish up the expansions we got our Power Tech-Sniper playthrough to finish.
Ah so I could technically play for free from the base game but I have to buy the expansions separately from the free service to access them. Or am I missing something?
If I remember correctly, even the expansions that were sold for their original release are now accessible on virtue of jut being subscribers (as in, paying a monthly fee), but don't quote me on that or anything
Just subscribe for a month and it will permanently unlock all the current expansions on your account.
To clarify, this is a one-time fee and not a recurring one. It's a win7win, IMO.
Since we are on the subject, althought it gets a lot of flak online for being the worst class story, I'm actually enjoying my time as a Jedi consular, mostly because I'm roleplaying as a dangerously obsessed Knight Templar who acts more like the order's chief executioner than a scholar and, admittedly, the Jedi shadow lore is really cool
What I like is apparently you can still play a decent person or a neutral as a Sith or a Bounty Hunter instead of being locked into "dickhead #24" route when games present a typically evil faction.
Playing a good sith is so much fun. You just straight up confuse the shit out of everyone you talk to.
I just started on a good Sith sorcerer. Gonna confuse the shit out of everyone + get those approval ratings so I can bang Ashara. :weeb:
Oh god the New Year's event is going to be a bloodbath.

I went ahead and checked the data mined from Jedi Under Siege and oh boy if the new story content is a let down.
Basically, when it comes to the grand scheme of things, this new expansion is just about your character deciding which faction story they want to follow on Ossus, Nadia Grell making a come back and Darth Malgus of all people being brought back from the dead as a cyborg by Empress Acina. Only, now he's a stereotypical bloodthirsty Sith and an evil caricature, much like Darth Malora herself.
Mind you, this was advertised as a Rise of the Hutt Cartel-like new expansion and this is the direction they want the story to take after you were basically granted full control of the whole Galaxy.
Oh, and the Empire is back to textbook evil overlords once more after several expansions of supposed developments as a faction.
I'm really starting to think that I should put this game on hold indefinitely
