New Clone Troopers Lead the Charge of Star Wars Battlefront II U..
StarWars.com: Where do you begin when designing clone trooper armor? And what was the overall process for crafting the designs?
Once they’ve been added to the game, they’re reviewed together with the team at Lucasfilm, tweaked if needed, and made ready to be deployed.
Hmph.
The big ass class icon floating above their head helps too
"Well first off, the shit's been in the game since launch and we haven't added anything onto them since then"
That sounds awesome, it'd be like the original Battlefront games. OGFront 1's Geonosis: Spire map is one of my favorite maps from OGFront 1 n 2.
Now we just need to be able to load up a gunship full of clones and fly around blowing shit up
Suddenly I realized how fucked up I am if it comes to post-launch content, because:
my favorite era is Galactic Civil War
my favorite game mode is Starfighter Assault
I know I had entire game focused on Original Trilogy + Rogue One, but still, I'm not a fan of Clone Wars and that-conflict-with-First-Order. All I want is battle on and over Scarif. Ah, yes, and Jyn Erso. Too bad mentions about Rogue One in game files are probably left-overs from Battlefront 2015.
Scarif shows up very very briefly in the Campaign which is why there are stuff in the files.
Someone has created a wiki that compiles almost everything we know about Free Radical's BF3

The Resurgent-Class side hangar is fairly detailed for something you'd only see in passing for a few seconds at a time. There is a movie still in there for comparison.

Found the best mod for Battlefront II.

Heh
A single new battleground after months (a whole year, perhaps?) of no content update whatsoever.
Ok.
Just to be clear, on this particular matter I'm more sad than anything else
do you even follow the game because that's not at all accurate and that battleground came out already, it's not what they're promoting
That's an exaggeration.
It's my understanding that said operations/raids are about a single boss each with maybe some packs of mobs thrown in for a good measure, aren't they?
Star Wars
With Game Update 5.10 – Jedi under Siege, the next phase of the SWTOR storyline will kick off with a bang on the ancient Jedi world. Ravaged by a cataclysm centuries in the past, this beloved planet has been part of Old Republic stories since the original Tales of the Jedi comics, and we’re really excited to bring it to life for our players as a new Daily Area with separate Republic and Imperial storylines.
With this ancient world, we will see the return of several fan-favorite characters as well as the introduction of some exciting new characters including a powerful Jedi veteran (not Revan) who will join Republic players on their mission to protect a hidden Jedi base and a deadly commando who will aid Imperial players in their mission to destroy it. Over the coming months, we’ll bring you more details about the planet and offer more insight about the conflict.
b-b-ut they're not making story content!
and more on a continuous basis over the coming years
Hot damn. Also Dark Jaesa, Doc and Nadia confirmed. There's a ton of info on QoL improvements in the post
Eh, not bad, I guess.
It's safe to assume that the story is focusing on reigniting the conflict between the Republic and the Empire once again. I still don't think that's gonna work at this point, narrative-wise, but I'll wait for more developments.
Truth be told, I wouldn't even know how to get myself into the game again. I would have to roll a single, entirely new character from scratch though, that's for sure
The empire and republic have already been back at it since April last year
Yes, I'm aware. It's just that I find this narrative extremely jarring at this point, since:
Both Kngiths of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Eternal Throne allowed your character to defeat the main antagonist of this whole Star Wars era and effectively become the sole rule of the entire galaxy. After all of this you are now supposed to come back to your faction and answer to people who basically own you all their lives and were licking your boots only some in-game weeks ago
In the War of Iokath storyline, you are given the option to side either with the Republic or the Empire regardless of your current faction. The decision seems to be pretty final, 'cause your action decapitates the leadership of the faction you go against, so I'm very doubtful they'll take you back with open arms anytime soon. Suppose you are playing an Imperial character and decided to join the Republic: what happens now (gameplay and story-wise)?
They said in the post that you will continue being that faction.
Also iirc one of the updates after that gave you a second chance to choose your side to let you know they're serious, since many picked on a whim the first time and there was complaining about regretting the choice.
So I think all in all as an imperial agent you can defect 3-4 times?
Probably explained how they fucked it up.
Or why each class model needs to look unique.
If they promise scout trooper helmets for kashyyyk troops and the proper umbara design that'd be awesome. Save for that or additional skins, can't care much.
They mentioned Kamino for some reason so there's speculation that it's related to Phase 1 or the shinies skin being formally given.
I just want Coruscant Guard mostly. Way more interested in the CT about hero hok cards and reworks.
Jedi: Fallen Order rumoured to be like Force Unleashed but "without the Mountain Dew qualities"
In the latest episode of the "Making of Star Wars" podcast, host Jason Ward reported that he had contact with an undisclosed member of the "gaming industry", stating that Fallen Order will have a similar tone to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed but "without the Mountain Dew qualities".
This means that players can expect to be hunted by the Empire and for the game to offer a dark/gritty tone, but that the game will remain true to the Star Wars canon. Unlike Force Unleashed, players of Fallen Order shouldn't expect to be force pulling Star Destroyers from orbit, or "anything absurd".
At this time Jedi: Fallen Order appears to be a single player only game.
