Heroes Vs. Villains is getting a core mechanics revamp in May. Again, no info Exciting to hear. They confirmed they're removing the Target mechanic!

They also confirmed on reddit that these things are not the only things coming in the next 3 months, it's just the only stuff they have locked down and are able to give an estimate.

So I've been working on a space battle map for the Origional BAttlefront 2 and I was wondering what features you guys want to see. That was fast. Geneosis is fun but man with only one map it was getting a bit stale faster than I thought imo.

was only able to play one match ever on it with my limited time and it was fun but felt it dragged on way too long in that i actually had to leave before it ended after swapping between boarding each other's capital ships 4 times and still no one had blitzed through all the way

Why do you ask at all? Are you trying to get into playing it or something? Or are you just coming in to shit on the game and everyone that still DOES play it? I don't play it, but if I'm ever curious to see if it's still running, I just google the fucking name of the game.

I'm not sure so don't quote me on this but I think halflight is still upset about Galaxies and wants SWTOR to shutdown for a new SW MMO? Galaxies is still better than ever though, I'd recommend Stardust server if it's still going.

I never played Star Wars Galaxies, althought, by the descriptions of it I found online, I'd had liked it, given I'm more of a "Create your own adventure" MMORPGs fan (with some caveats, mind you) than the "Theme park" MMORPGs which have been dominating the market since the release of World of Warcraft. This of course if you don't take the whole "The greatest gameplay update ever" shitshow into account. At the moment I'm carefully checking The Old Republic progress because, if it wasn't obvious already, the whole era is my favorite part of the Star Wars canon and at the moment I'm doubting very much we'll see anything coming from it from Disney's tenure of the IP (aside from a nod here and there in the new canon, assorted and unverified rumors and Galaxy Heroes). Hell, even if I downright hate the MMORPG subscription model with a passion I bought the game on launch, paid for the monthly fee in several occasions when needed, cleared some class stories several times over even and kept me up to date with the game's content (till the Knights of the Ethernal Throne expansion, at any rate). However, and if you want I can get into the details, I also believe that, at the moment, The Old Republic is basically a failed MMORPG which is living off burrowed time and what profit the publisher can make out of the players' subscription and hunger for cosmetics items, given that for years now the game has utterly failed at cather to both the veteran MMORPG crowd who is hooked on post-game raids or PvP matches and farming and the crowd (like yours truly) who really doesn't give a fuck about those and only cares about the setting and narrative and the roleplaying-ish side of things

I'd hardly call it dead or failing.

Legends is nice, too. I prefer Galaxies to SWTOR, too. Legends has added houses, buildings, animals, weapons, hair/clothing, etc. from both the end of the game's official lifetime as well as some stuff from the new trilogy.

Legends is based off NGE and CU, but it's also the only Emu to have Jump to Lightspeed IIRC.

You’d have serious wishful thinking to believe SWTOR is doomed. It’s Bioware’s single continued project that’s not a total fucking disaster. Admittedly I was nervous about Anthem causing BioWare to just die but it seems like BW is chugging on and we’re getting an expansion that seems to be another renaissance. Lately we’ve gotten QoL updates and shit that admittedly would’ve been good to have at launch. Guilds actually feel like they have a purpose after that patch. plus the war is going back, and Malgus vs Satele is a thing again for the first time since launch endgame. i have a feeling when it comes it’ll feel like a fresh start like when KOTFE was new, everything they’re doing changing systems for the better, adding previews etc feels like those days. biowares other failures might be a good thing since they’ll focus more on what’s working to survive. I also recall they’re pretty well off in player/sub count and other finances. It would take some serious vindication from EA to totally dissolve BioWare to get it shut down withiin the next couple years

Well it's a third person action adventure game. The Celebration panel is at 2:30PM Eastern on Saturday. I believe it will be live streamed.

Reminder, Chris Avellone worked on this as a writer, so it might have some decent writing.

Respawn developing it gives me high Hope's

Respawn and Avellone are giving me hope but I'm still gonna be a little cautious before we actually get to see what the game looks like. Also a couple of days late on this front, but Fallen Order's going to be getting its own art book. Gonna be interesting to see some of the concepts they've explored in there.

IIRC someone from the team compared it to The Force Unleashed. In the fact it's a third person action game.

I really hope that game let's you pick/join the dark side... Jedi and Republic are boring.

Considering what they did with EA's Battlefront 2, I doubt we're going to get the Imperial perspective for long. I remember when this was datamined, the entire Iden betraying the Empire, but certain people were so religiously against that it wouldn't happen. What a disappointing campaign.
