I'm just a guy who likes to share his opinion. Guess I'll quit that here, since it ain't welcome.
I wouldn't say it's directly your opinion, but they way you present it that people don't like. Look at this. Why the fuck is this so hostile.

Listen man, I donno what ya'll want from me. I guess you Americans just think differently than us Slovakians. We are a second world country after all, where almost every person smokes, is christian, homophobic, xenophobic, pretty racist and vulgar too. In my mind, I actually think I'm acting rather nice. Anyone else I know from here would have already told you to either kill yourselves, or to suck their genitals. I guess it's just cultural differences.
plus anyone over 40 has at least seen 2 or 3 wars, let alone has seen plenty movies with gory elements. but yeap. games are violent.
beep boop do this to make mvm challenging again and to kill the brainless meta
To answer the question here- -We don’t have anything confirmed. VNN and some of the workshop people(?) believe that there is an update in development, the latter group based off vague rumors of items being purchased already (this is likely a falsehood) -People do however want some of the game’s bigger bugs patched, namely the upward exploit and some weapon balance tweaks to items banned in competitive (the diamondback, etc.) as well as for valve to act on the random crits debate going on right now (google uncle Dane’s random crits video and you’ll see the discussion) -The heavy... update? Valve said that both classes will likely get an update but only one will get it first during the heavy v pyro war, and now that JI is done, we’re waiting on that. And that’s about it. I’ve covered everything happening in tf2 since the blue moon patch in a couple of paragraphs, because that’s all we’ve got this year and nothing has been released or teased.
He's just constantly annoying and posts annoying things. ASIC isn't comparable, he was annoyingly persistent, but that was about it (he did deserve the eventual ban). He's just posting stupid memes that are 5 years old and not really creating any discussion. Also he's posted a fair amount of plain stupid arguments just like ASIC did
Well, at least we know one thing to be added in game for sure. https://i.imgur.com/yU9nkuS.png
What happened here. OT: Anyone here plays TF2 with VR mode enabled? Just remember this game was one of the first (?) to enable it when the boom of the Oculus came to us. We got a hat if you owned the dev kit, and enabled special vr-viewmodels too.
I will never understand why people blast medal additions like this. I too am frustrated with the wait and wish valve would use these patches to communicate too- and this is coming from someone who helped make some of the medals that got added during this drought. But it’s not like valve is addding these things *instead* of gameplay or balance content.
Well no offense but it's not like there's that much TF2 related topics to talk about in the first place this year. I'm surprised this thread even has any discussion at all. Chill out man.
Well i mean i'm usually lurking in here and from what it seems to look like its just constant arguments ranging from people being unhappy the lack of any sort of a hint towards an update to people getting upset with one each other because someone has a different opinion. It can be a place where people talk about tf2 in a more constructive way seeing that it is called "Tf2 General Chat and Speculation" Making posts about being rude to each other doesnt help. If you actually want to talk about tf2 or see people talk about it, talk about tf2. If you have an issue with someone, pm them or take it up somewhere else where it wont cause a giant shit show.
some spy main got really pissy with me because i kept smacking him with my holiday punches under the influence of buffalo steak sandvich he'd either die and complain about me being brainless or i'd crit him and he'd instantly use a killbind so i wouldn't be able to tauntkill him while insulting me in chat. what a gamer!
We're trying, we don't have much to work with. Might as well call this "TF2 General Rant and Depression Station V10 - It is not dead, only we are."
But its not just narrowed down to a certain area of tf2 hence the word General. Tf2 is a broad community. you have stuff from workshop items all the way to bugs that the game should fix. There is plenty to work with if you are willing to actually spend your time looking a bit.
Source? Also for Discord gold Borealis#9513
Alright, I'll try something then. This Valve employee just started playing TF2 recently. Good sign? Steam Community
spy mains are pretty famed for being huge salt miners
TF2 General Chat and Speculation Station V11 - The new ASIC is born.
Post in redderp's /r/games (the "serious" video game subreddit) from a few days ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/9crc4v/ever_realize_that_online_toxic_behavior_started/ Holy crud is that how newpunch deals with redderp links? O_o In any case, in my observance TF2 is certainly a game to which this thought applies. Especially that bit about "localized enforced rules" such as "don't spew racist shit," "don't micspam" or the always popular "don't cheat."
Most people just don't like going through a server browser, it's too complicated for them. Also what's wrong with reddit?
I hear they've been working with Micro$oft lately
"False" VAC bans been reversed plenty lately, fucks going on?
Valve is learning to admit when they've made a mistake? I'd...say this is a good thing.
a certain mr. paloma told me but don't go around posting this cause im a nobody and i don't keep chatlogs.
You got direct confirmation from Drunken_F00l? There's something very final about that, considering they never confirmed the end of development on coaching, replays, or Asteroid/Cactus Canyon. Real shame, MvM might be one of the best pve adaptations of a pvp game.
well I mean the 5 years of nothing were kind of a dead giveaway. they tried hard to throw a bone with JI upgrades except every single one of them broke the game for a week (or still are to this day) so it's pretty obvious they were created by employees that never worked on mvm before.
It's honestly not that surprising given the fact that the TF2 Team's focus has been 100% PvP-oriented for a while, bringing balance changes meant to address competitive bans and also adding new content for the casual crowd to enjoy. Looks like the community will fill in the blanks that Valve left for the foreseeable future.
You never know with Valve, someone who's a big MVM fan could join the team and we could always get a big update. It is sad that they aren't bothering with all the great community MVM content.
