You know I've lived in seattle for like two years but I've never bothered to get a tour. It wouldn't be one on one time with the TF team but it could be cool to get the generic tour, check out the VR demos, and hope against all reasonable hope to see a new hat or something through a foggy window into somebody's office.

Does Valve give a tour of the HQ to anyone that asks?

yeah if you're in the area you can just call up/email and ask, sometimes they're busy but they'll usually invite you to have a look around. the people i've been dealing with at valve for organizing the tour have been spectacularly friendly and helpful and seem about excited as us lol

Drew and Meta were banned for doxxing and going to great lengths to harass other users, as well as saying genuinely vile things about other emporium members, like really awful stuff. They proved themselves to be the sort of people we couldn't have within the community as they caused far too much harm to other users. They weren't banned for "Edgy Jokes" , the fact you think that is the reason either means your concept of what constitutes a joke is pretty warped or you have a poor grasp on what actually happened.

If "edgy humor" is the reason you feel why they were ousted from the community, then you haven't been paying attention at all. There's a huge difference between edgy humor and harassing to the point where others wanna leave the workshop and feel like they're nothing but broken bones. To go out and stalk others, to create fallacies about them and make them feel like shit is NOT ok. People finally felt enough was enough, got together, talked about the issue, and decided to take action about it. Even I'm finally speaking up about it because I feel it's the right thing to do, and that I've been affected as well, with them making a fake mockery patreon page with my name, and I don't want others to feel the same sort of shit. Also, enough with the whining about the Saxxies. You've been going on and on about this for awhile now, and it's very tiresome. What did these team ever do to have you on their asses? They're just a bunch of talented folk, who came up with something brilliant, made it a reality, and won a contest because of how good it was. At the very least, this should strive you to work harder to win next year's competition, as it is for most of us in the community, considering we were inspired by the things we all watched and those who won.

Well good for you, however many members of our community have, hence the bans. I guess their behaviour is absolutely fine so long as it doesn't ever affect you.

Why do you wanna get rid of a guy who doesn't say the things you want to hear? I don't call anyone bad names or "doxx" or anything, I literally just give my opinion on things and that's all, and anyone who says otherwise is just lying.

Anyone remember when a FP user went to the old Valve HQ for a visit? I think the guy posted pics about a special section dedicated to TF2 with different portraits of the classes, NECA figures and a Saxton Hale (i think) portrait. Plus, they had a special button or person what would bring bacon. The new HQ has a balloonicorn room filled with pastel colors and a giant balloonicorn plush.

Sorry, but I'm going to call bullshit on that and the idea that valve reads feedback boards. Any self respecting developer would realize it when thier community feels betrayed or neglected, and would attempt to do something about it. Except valve. Cause they’re special and cool. It wouldn’t be a stretch to think that valve’s already insular mentality means they make decisions based off of internal discussion only, with metrics like how well passes or items sell being the deciding factor in development decisions. How else do you explain the mind-bogglingly bad decisions they’ve made in recent years which the community has looked at like MyM and said “NO NO NO! This is the OPPOSITE OF WHAT THE GAME NEEDS and it’s not even FINISHED!” Incompetence? Stupidity? I don’t think those are the reason. You have to have a pretty big portfolio to work at valve, and the only rational explanation for this nonsense is the crappy corporate structure and petty funding and hiring culture getting in the way of otherwise talented people who care about the game like Jill and Driller.

Yeah, but what you gonna do? It's not like the TF Team is getting new members, and Gabe said that Valve would rather "disintegrate" than sell out. Even if you were a billionaire who would like to buy the company and change the corporate structure of it, there's a fat chance of it happening.
