TF2 General Chat and Speculation Station V11 - Making everyone upset with one another My dude, you need to stop. Anytime you post you add nothing but small details to make everyone upset with you. TF team has a chance of getting new members. Please think before you speak, that way we wont get sidetracked and you wont wonder why people get upset with you.

Genuinely don't know where you got that from and even if that were the case, what proof is there that things will change for the better?

From what i have witnessed we have yet to get anything saying "Hey guys we are never hiring again" so there is still a small chance. Yes its an optimistic view but its better than complaining about stuff when we have no idea whats going on. We are in the dark when it comes to anything related to tf team/tf2 getting updates.

Around when Overwatch was announced, he was starting to upload TF2 vids less frequently due to IRL stuff and getting burned out.

Wasn't he the guy that thought the Jotaro inspired hat for Heavy was a blatant case of intellectual property theft? Anywho. Looks like this year TOFH will be filled with an interesting selection of people. Hope one of the TF2 devs goes there to have a chat or do something silly, like, giving every team Valve weapons on a comp setting.

On the off-chance you're being serious here and genuinely don't know what you did wrong, hear me out. Nobody hates you. Nobody dislikes you. It probably feels that way, but ultimately you're only getting negative backlash when you start acting negatively toward other people in the thread. You're getting what you give. Take a moment, chill out, don't jump to being bitter or lashing out, and you'll probably be fine even if people don't agree with everything you say. If you're convincing yourself that you're public enemy #1 and start going all "woe is me" about it, nobody is going to treat you any better and you're just going to feel worse. If you have a real and genuine interest in and affection for TF2, you should stick around. Even when we're Cynicpunch, it still comes from a place of love. Nobody here would be complaining about TF2's problems if TF2 didn't mean something to them, but from everyone else's perspective you just seem to be here based on vitriol and a desire to start fights. not really, its just star being a jackass as always a loveable jackass nonetheless - however its undeniable he initially left in a sour manner, which is also kinda understandable given to this day he is constantly reminded to play a game he clearly burned out of happy to see him there though

I just want confirmation if the next comic is coming out or not. Like, I don't even care if it never does, I just want a definite answer. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that it doesn't matter if something is cancelled, just that we actually know it is. Just some basic communication is all that we need to at least be a bit less upset.

I know that TOTH is becoming larger and larger, but TF2 will still always be the core part of it, no? Which makes me doubt Ster will primarily be there for Overwatch. It just seems... I don't know, too obvious?

I really hope so. With how he's acted about TF2 in the past I don't know why anyone would expect him to be involved in anything for TF2. Wouldn't that be kind of a radical departure from everything he's already said? I've never spoken to the guy or met him, and I had no involvement in his coming to TotH, so these are all personal opinions. What's too obvious? I'm unsure what you mean here.

Since this thread needs some kind of optimism. Recently I made a somewhat stupid research. I took public tf2 build ids from steamdb, then created a graph of average build id increment per day between updates. Here is the graph for 2016-2018. It looks like there are a lot of builds this year. Still wondering what's the prerelease branch for currently, it's still getting steamdb updates, but you don't seem to download any files if opting into it. BTW, there was a patch 5 days ago which updated some localization files, and the store page. I hope there will be something big and related to Heavy and updates in Halloween, however I also don't think it will happen. I've been probably the least optimistic this year.

Star has some big boy asshat humor and I'm fairly confident that some stuff about TF2 was said with that in mind; We'll probably see him playing TF2 and OW at TOTH. What I meant with too obvious is that it would be incredibly strange to see *the* ex-TF2 Youtuber at a TF2 Event... not playing TF2

What I wanna know is why he would be there in the first place. Has he shown up at any previous TOTHs?
