I don’t know man. Jill reading FP and not agreeing with our conclusion that TF2 deserves even a basic level of mantainence and upkeep is really heckin’ sad if you ask me.
It wasn't blatant. People jumped and cried that our fist pin was to similar to the real thing. It was a fist but it was meant to echo the original design. I changed it after what happened to it to a TF2 styled pin.
Jill if you're reading this
When did Jill say that?
That’s what geel seemed to suggest in the post I quoted. That our concerns get read but aren’t agreed with.
we are a minority of the players of the game, so i could understand that.
I don't know what Jill does and does not agree with. You don't strike me as someone who understands how this all works.
Then why would you make a statement like that about our conclusions not being agreed with if you don’t know what Jill agrees with or doesn’t, or even what conclusions our posts come to to be disagreed with? I know exactly how this works. If you wanted to call us idiots with improper conclusions, please be more direct about it than an arrogant suggestion that Jill doesn’t agree with the conclusions we come to, because that opens up an ASIC-level can of worms about interpretation and intent that I don’t think any of us care to waste the time on, again.
"ASIC" i love this meme, that there was this one guy that everybody hated that there is now an insult term that references this person. if you're out there ASIC, im sorry there was a lot of meaness, but be happy you lived on in meme-atude
Because you seem to be under the impression that just because you said something and a Valve employee read it that there's some onus on them to do it. They can read your post without being obliged to do something for you for having taken the time to write it.
Okay, you got me: It does strikes me as odd when the majority of a game’s playerbase, across virtually every medium and board, through most of a game’s recent history write a similar message; in this case: ”Hey valve- COMMUNICATE, we won’t bite!” And the developer to this day does nothing. I suppose a better question is don’t you find this at least skeptical at best?
What should I be skeptical of, exactly?
Valve’s radio silence, questionable decisions recently, and comparitive neglect of this game as it’s developer? I thought that would be apparent, but that’s alright. Does that not bother you that we have the ability to not be in this situation if valve handled things better?
I'm not skeptical because this is the obvious reality we're in dude. This shit is plain to see. The issue is that you don't want to be right. You're fighting this because you really, really want to be wrong. But you're right. The majority of Valve does not give a fuck about TF2. The few that do are understaffed and are bad at communicating. This is what we have. It's what we've had for a long time. You're not going to convince Valve employees to work on TF2.
They have no actual real reason to care about communication regarding their old games. Their shift to a game distribution platform many many years ago was more-or-less the death of valve-made games.
Feel free to ask them?
but tf2 is doing super well look at this sick playercount chart
This is where you and I divulge. I feel like you guys don't even like TF2 itself, just its updates. TF2 is a great fucking game and you can go play it right now for free. That's awesome. I'm cool with that.
Condemning this game to death via apathetic developer seems a tad extreme, but in that case why are you still here? Why are any of us still here? Can you give me a reason to NOT use marketplace and scrap.tf to cash out and flee the sinking ship before it hits the bottom? I don’t get what your message is here?
ur right I hated every single 13000 hours of it
You completely warped Geel's words lmao. Geel's saying that he's aware the game is barely being worked on, but it's still a fun game with a huge, devoted playerbase that isn't dwindling any time soon.
Because you enjoy playing TF2, perhaps? Maybe do that when you're done playing TF2. Are you done playing TF2? Is it because it's not going to get another major update? Of course I'd love more major updates. I love them. From a personal and business standpoint, major updates are awesome. But I don't only like TF2 because of its major updates. It's still fun to play. So I play it.
I actually didn’t see that post after the one I quoted. Yes, we all know it’s a fun game, but from what he’s making it sound like it’s a game without a future. Isnt that supposed to be a bad thing?
If you're willing to jump ship on a game you love just because it isn't updated as frequently as it used to be, then maybe you don't love said game!
is shoving pictures of your teenager self down people's throats a requirement in entrepreneurship? okay offtopic i apologize
It's, like, super personally depressing to think about TF2 "dying". I don't think that's happening any time soon, but even if it were... you just need to deal with that. You need to come to terms with it.
tf2 at this point for me is a "don't forget, you're here for ever" situation for me i'm sure years could pass without a update and i'd still be playing this fuckin' game, that's how much i enjoy it even with it's flaws the only other game/series that rivals that for me is rock band, i just can't get enough of my musical color matching games using big pieces of plastic
What have I done to you, exactly? Do you want to go down this road? No you don't lol
Being passive-aggressive with post stamps isn't helping your case of being a pessimistic dick, Hell-met
