TF2 General Chat and Speculation Station V10 - It is not dead, is Aliven't

To be honest, I never bothered to beat Poker Night 2. The characters aren't as amusing and I just don't like the items nearly enough. I actually played and beat Poker Night 1 before I ever played TF2. The Iron Curtain remains one of the best minigun reskins ever. For a long time it WAS the only minigun reskin. Dangerqesque, Too? is of course a meme unto itself. One of the most aggressive Heavy mains I ever knew wore a Dealer's Visor until he unboxed a Class Crown. The Dapper Disguise from PN2 has the same problem that the Nabler and a couple JI-related hat do: it has a tendency to turn a solid color, usually piss yellow or bright white. It looks completely awful in-game more often than it doesn't.
Don't get me wrong, it's a shame that the items will no longer be available, but most of the PN2 unlocks aren't that good.
Im pretty sure the worst unlock in pn2 is just a knife.
there's absolutely nothing wrong with the brock knife
and chell's boots used to be perfect with pocket pistol v1.
Thanks to the TF2 lore being written over such a long period of time it has this really schizophrenic attitude to the two teams and number of characters, and if a class represent a character. It basically goes:
The nine classes represents a limitless supply of mercenaries, Meet the Team videos focusing on the "Heaviest Heavy" (to borrow an expression from Rick and Morty) and so on
There are two teams, ambiguous whether there are two of each character
There are two teams, with two of each class in total
There are two teams, but only nine characters total
There has only ever been one team (current)
Thanks for notifying the Dapper's Disguise has the issue too, its fix is going to be added to the Visual Fix Pack. Any more cosmetics that have the issue aside from the JI items?
I take it the issue was in the VMT? What was the fix, exactly?
Improperly done proxies: they're made for a painted item, not an unpaintable one. Dapper's Disguise's VMT was even more similar to one of a paintable item.

Feels fucking goodman. It was either this loser who is already VAC'd: Steam Community or this complete asshat who was rage-hacking on a trade server: Steam Community. Unfortunately said trade server has no kickvote function (FirePowered are a remarkably poor run enterprise.) I suspect it was the latter because he's bragging about a matchmaking cooldown.
To be fair, not like PS4/Xbox players got very good unlocks either. Xbox at least got avatar accessories, PS4 players got...themes.

I figured this might be somewhat relevant to the situation with Aliven't Fortress 2. Similar to the closing of the longstanding TF2WH. This never bodes well.

Looks like Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle is getting a physical release in Japan.
Fun fact, you don't always get this notification when someone you reported gets banned. Some cheaters got banned, I checked, in my reports list, and I never got the in-game notifications.
Report notifications are for matchmaking bans, not VAC bans. The VAC ban system is entirely different and doesn't notify anyone except for the user receiving the ban.
And how should I know that? Even when someone does get a "matchmaking" ban and I get the notification, I go to their profile and it says VAC banned lol.
Tell that to the Coby Kingdom... Steam Community. Its by far the best example as to how people can avoid losing their items over the course of a hundred+ vac bans.
Gray Mann's death was foreshadowing for Snoke.
TF2 does not have game bans. Game bans happen after a review of a demo. The primary title that uses game bans is CS:GO but apparently a few others do as well (Rust, I think.) I cannot say for sure if CS:GO players receive a notification if a player they report gets a game ban. I have never seen it mentioned.
I can say with 100% certainty that you will never receive a notification about a player you reported being issued a VAC or game ban (unless Valve introduces a dramatic change to their system.) The notifications you receive in-game about a player you reported in TF2 are solely for matchmaking (casual, competitive, MvM) bans.
I like this new update where the game crashes every time I queue up for casual but restarting the game puts me in the match it was trying to put me in in the first place.
Literally every single time
you won't get a notification if a player you reported gets vac banned, you will get a notification if a player you report gets a matchmaking ban, a matchmaking ban IS a game ban
game bans are more flexible than vac bans, it's developer/game specific where it can behave whatever way you want it to, while vac is entirely automated and just prevents a banned account from joining a server where it's active
in CSGO you don't get notified if a player you reported gets banned, I think you only get notified when you review an overwatch case, report him for cheating and then he gets banned
in CSGO game bansonly happen with overwatch, that's not the case with every other game
if a player has a matchmaking ban from TF2, their profile will say they got a game ban
Are you sure about this? If so, this is a recent development. I've seen rage hackers who had extended matchmaking bans but did not show a game ban their profile. There's an example right here: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198125323431 That guy had a 360 (IIRC) day TF2 matchmaking ban, and has never had a game ban listed on his profile. TF2 matchmaking bans based on reports are not permanent like CS:GO game (overwatch) bans. I have never seen any evidence (other than your assertion) that a TF2 matchmaking cooldown also gives a game ban on a user's Steam profile.
So uh okay, he has a game ban, he literally only played TF2 and confirmed the ban is for TF2 and you're saying TF2 doesn't have a game ban, so how did he get banned then? Im so confused
game bans are not permanent unless the developer wants them to be, CSGO's Overwatch bans were 1 year at first, after the system was thoroughly tested it became permanent, also griefing bans (1 month) show up as game bans on profile
also I'm not sure about the example you gave, but only current game bans show
I've seen VAC bans dissapearing aswell, how does that work? Like, one of my friends had a vac ban that was over 1k days, it stopped showing it on his profile, yet he was still vacd
Wow, that game is great. No wonder I have 3k+ hours in it. Recently jumped into a few Casual matches and it was awesome.
VAC bans stop showing on profiles after 6 years
type "retry" in console
I think this is more than 6 years.

Man I really hope if we ever find out the Administrator's end goal that it isn't something ridiculous or stupid. As the only really serious character I hope she has something that fits her character.

Been taking a break from part 2 of the Pyroland Overhaul as to not overstress. During this time i finished up a quick in-between project that adds missing BLU team weapon skins. This was incredibly more aggravating to accomplish than i thought it was hahaha, but overall im very happy to finally finish it.
All my projects such as the Pyroland and other projects are a focus to help polish up TF2 ever so slightly with things i grew up always being OCD annoyed about. I've been learning a heck ton of stuff, and am having a great time doing so too. Many more projects are on my list, however they take a super long time, as i am still learning.
Hope you all like it.
