i thought that auto balance only counted the fact that i'm currently in the server with a group? it would make sense when the game always fucking PICKS ME WHEN I'M PLAYING WITH FRIENDS but at least i can go on to annoy the shit out of my soldier main friend by switching to a airblast happy pyro :^)

I'm going to say a month and a half. I really don't expect them to release anything now before the Halloween update at all. If we get a "heavy" update or anything, it'll probably be paired up with the Halloween update this year of afterwards, not before.

Yeah, must be fun to queue games just to play WITH YOUR FRIENDS, then get seperated 5 minutes later.

So you're fine losing fair and square, but you failed to mention that previous to that autobalance you were in the process of winning against those drooling idiots. The whole point of autobalance is to automatically balance the game. It won't instantly make every game down to the wire but the next person to get added to your side won't be as mad at the incompetent players because you're there.

Honestly dude, maybe you need to see what it's like to play against an entire group of friends. Like I get that you want to play with your friends and it's legitimately annoying to be put on the other team, but it's also annoying to have an imbalanced game with a group of 5 people who never get split up. It honestly seems like the major issue with autobalance is that you have to eat what you were just serving and you don't like it.

If it didn't auto-balance parties, people would party up just for the sake of avoiding auto-balance, thus it would be abused. Generally speaking though, you still are technically playing with each other even if you're not on the same team.

As far as I can tell, all auto-balance does is try to keep the team numbers simular and that's it. It's too difficult to tell if it tries to factor in anything when deciding who gets picked though as far as I can tell...

I don't know, I'm pretty sure that the game is at fault if people aren't playing it...

I know what Is it like to play against an entire group of friends. I've been in this game long enough back when TF2 had the all-beloved quickplay system which allowed you to stack more than 5 friends at once sometimes. But now, If you're playing while in a party, you are most likely to get matched against someone who is also doing so, so it balances out pretty fairly.

This makes you an asshole. Valve can't stop people from being assholes.

No, the game isn't at fault, people's attention spans and transient interests are the real culprits.
