if you think you're free out of drama and trouble just because it's mvm then think again
MvM? You mean the game mode that hasnt seen an update since two cities?
children venerate them and fail to understand the issue because "its just bots xdd omg we win!" grown ups still treat them like the turds they are and promptly get rid of them
Yeah i kinda figured as much, it just crossed my mind.
I've seen a handful, at least ones I could determine that they were in fact hacking... Pretty much always a heavy or sniper. Most of the time they were ejected from the server, but one or two groups wanted them so they can speed through MvM. Those I promptly left because I actually enjoy playing MvM. One of them, early on after Two cities released had a butt plug medic to help him that we kicked, then the hacker ended up kicking me. I haven't seen one in a good while though. At least any that I could determin were actually cheating. I always guessed they gave up trying to cheat to win drops when they found out you'll probably spend more cash from tickets then just buying the aussie you want flat out. Either that, or they just tick to six man parties full time now-a-days.
Unfortunately Valve can't fix assholes, so even if MvM got updates monthly these would be the problems you have to deal with Also yes, I saw a Heavy with a hack that would give him no bullet spread a long time ago. The rest of the team realized this and then acted like it was ok so he would show us. Then he got kicked. Hackers in MvM are extremely rare if not non-existant, you can't troll people by killing robots and MvM's loot is by far not worth a ban
this is false and also mvm could quite easily be perceived as a "safe haven" or "testing ground" for them. it's not all black or white.
This. I've met plenty of hackers in MvM, and got some banned by reporting them. They usually have expensive items aswell. I refuse to play MvM with a cheater on my team, I pay for the ticket to enjoy the game not to get carried by a braindead AI
Welp, just my experience. I really did a grind back in the day, still do sometimes and all I can remember is that one heavy. How would it be a safe haven or a testing grounds for them tho? Dont they have like tons of servers to choose from, with and without bots?
because a large number of players appreciate cheaters in mvm and there's zero chance of being caught by admins while they figure out their control panel.
Takes around 10-50 days to get them banned If you report a cheater in MvM. It's true, test it out yourself.
i've been wondering something guys/girls, do any of you listen to music while playing tf2? and if so what genre/artists. i mainly just throw on my normal playlist & set it to shuffle when i'm not playing with friends.
I used to but that used to slow my internet since I have so limited bandwith and also most of my family members are using the internet so I stopped.
I usually listen to Soundtracks for the Blind, maybe some On The Aeroplane Over the Sea. Otherwise, I've got The Office playing on my second monitor
I don't listen to music when I play TF2. I'm a clumsy old man and I need all the audio queues I can glean to tell what's going on in game. If things aren't going well, I'll even mute voice chat (voice_scale 0) so I find out where the GABENDAMN DEAD RINGER SPY is decloaking and roast his ass. Fucker.
Sometimes when I remember the Steam music thing exists and i just shuffle throu whatever it scans
So as it turns out in MvM, the Mad Milk Syringes upgrade can apply to robots that are already ubered or are still in the spawn area and still invincible. So if you want to be a dipshit like me and run off the meta forever, you could replace the Scout with a the Mad Milk Syringes so you can pre-fire them and continue healing.
How old are you really if you still say gaben
So old that I don't remotely GAF if the kids think my jokes are corny.
ok have fun with money always amazes me how scout is this powerhouse machine of death in normal tf2 and then just because the mode changes everyone suddenly pretends the scatterguns no longer exists (the gun that literally outdps RLs and GLs on single target) (also what's keeping ppl alive is their own game sense and upgrades, mad milk is a mere extra)
I pretty much do the same, music brings the game to life I have fond memories of infiltrating the vault on asteroid as spy to gunpoint OST https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AASeTbHFvSQ
I've been playing pyro more. I don't like the jetpack at all, not when the detonator doesn't announce to the whole server "HEY GUYS I'M FLYING AND CAN'T USE MY FLAMETHROWER, SHOOT ME" and not with that moronic switch speed time. I'd rather the jetpack be adjusted to jump when you jump while in the air, after all your giving up a secondary for it why do I need to be vulnerable while flying? Soldier, demo, scout and even engineer don't have to be. Gas passer has so much potential but is mired in ridiculous setbacks, just give it a 20 second cool down instead of all these unnecessary gimmicks tacked onto it and make the flames unextinguishable so it can compete with the scorch shot which does the same thing but way better. Other than those two items he seems fine. A good pyro is something of a moving wall and is deadly around corners I haven't really seen an issue with his overall play style in that regard. I like to think of them as a soldier with extra utility instead of mobility.
Im curious if in the new update if they are going to balance any underpowered weapons, recently the balancing seems to be better than the old days of taking a weapon nobody uses, buffing it to be op and then nerfing it to the point that its unusable and then after a decade fixing it's issues and have it be situational at best.
Rydercycle still makes videos? ... Why did I watch that, glad to see his brand of inexperienced opinion always pops up to court controversy for attention (or at least that’s what it looks like he’s doing idk why making a video with points Dane already debunked is a thing)
Because unlike Soldier, Demo, and Engineer the Pyro deals zero self damage to himself to use the mobility boost from the Jetpack. I don't know why I'm still playing TF2. I told myself the day Pyro flies, I really ought to call it quits and what do they do? ... I asked myself the same thing when someone linked it to me and I watched it out of curiosity. The assumptions making up the ground work of his arguments reasoning were frustrating to hear, especially when he began to talk about how people should be more agreeable to meet in the middle and what he made sound like in any scenario. I'd rather agree to disagree and through reasonable means adjust things to fit one way or the other. Just like choosing one or the other, meeting in the middle has its own and equivalent drawbacks. I had a similar experience when watching this piece of ... creativity. And what made me really hurt on the inside was running into people on casual servers attempting to preach and enforce the "well known 50/50 rule." I don't care who you are or what you're doing. If I'm using a strange weapon, you're getting added to its tally.
I've been having a lot of fun pairing the jetpack with either the Backburner or Phlog and literally just rocketing behind the enemy, burning their ass, and then immediately soaring away; I call it the mosquito, works wonders on maps like Doublecross.

Yeah. And it's especially ridiculous how many 100+ tour veterans whine like a baby and vote to kick you if you miss 2 fucking credits. If you're no going for that one particular achievement, it doesn't fucking matter if you miss a few credits. By the end of even the hardest tours everyone is so overpowered that any team worth a damn is going to have zero issue. Yet apparently never missing a bonus is mandatory to some of these assholes.
