wow that is probably the first raffle i have ever won in my entire life, thanks
im glad someone also stil thinks about it. It's a super causual silly gamemode, but regardless and due to noone taking it seriously, is an extremely fun aspect of team fortress 2, that i really wish is expanded upon. Currently im working on some fixups for it and some other stuff to bundle up and send to valve. I think it has amazing potential for a zany fun game, and honestly if done right, has the potential to be a game in it's ownself considering how vastly different it is to other game modes; similar to how pass time is.
I have tried playing mutiplayer on actual dead games like Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. It's not fun, because trying to find a decent match is impossible. TF2, despite the dearth of new content updates, is not even close to being dead. There are literally hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of multiplayer games that could only dream of having tens of thousands of active players ten years after they launched. Games arrive ever year that are completly dead within 6 months, if not sooner. TF2 has survived for so long because it is simply that good, and even if Valve completely stops updating the game, I do not expect it to ever completely die - not when people still play even older games like Battlefront II (the original one), and modern multiplayer games continue to trend downward into greed that far exceeds even the worst of TF2's microtransaction excess.

Me realizing that it's September and that there's still no update or anything to talk about be like https://youtu.be/2MN1vXO5JeI?t=15s
I honestly haven't even really thought about it at all. Something is just different this year, it's been total silence and hardly anyone is speculating or hyped. And after the long wait last year, it's no longer unprecedented that we'll be going without a summer update. I suppose we're just getting used to the idea that updates can't be taken for granted anymore.
The lack of updates wouldn’t be so bad if we knew it was for a reason. Like if they legitimately told told us they had staff pulled to go work on the international or something and they’d get back to work after, it would make more sense from a customer relations standpoint. But when have we ever had those?
Past times we've had some sort of reason, like last year we knew jungle inferno was coming but this year we got nothing to go from. We can guess that they are finishing up their highly anticipated card game and that's what their focus is on, but at least say. But we're fools for ever thinking they would do anything as complex as a blog post saying "we aren't dead"
If there's nothing for you to talk about then stop posting
Who put you on the planet? As long as my posts are TF2 related, I can do as I please.
You can do as you please, and we (or more specifically I) can call you out for doing nothing but whining about how the game is dead and being contrarian for the hell of it. Your words are subject to a jury of your peers.
hehe...contrarian...
In 2017 I made a joke post about tf2's death. Well, now graph looks like this: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/219924/60accb9c-b273-4af8-881f-01c37aa64314/image.png
4 months left baby

There will be atleast 2 updates this year, I'm sure of that. We still have Scream Fortress and Smissmass. Why are people whining about it so much, It's not the end of the world, It doesn't restrict you from playing the game or anything.
Plz don’t become the new ASIC.
did you already forget JI monopolized halloween and christmas? who knows what they can pull off
I don't have to come to terms; I can spew anger and resentment forever.
knowing TF2 will end with so many issues left unfixed (which the majority spawned from earlier updates) is what's really annoying tbh.
Look at the trends and tell me I have something to be positive over.
Can't wait TF2 to be dead again after few months after they release a new update.
Honestly, I'm genuinely surprised that we haven't gotten anything after Blue Moon. Blue Moon was an unusual update, sure, but not one that I would think of as difficult to follow up on with semi-regular updates every three or four months.

As a reminder, Canteen Crasher is ongoing! If you want to get some shiny medals for playing MvM,, or just want to have fun playing community maps and waves, now's the chance!

I still want to know what made valve change wrap assasin's damage from -70% to -65% like, what sort of deep process goes on with their ways of balance that requires literal 1/2 years of work to justify changing an item's damage by 2 points.
Jill played TF2 before joining Valve, Jill and Eric have hundreds of hours in the game, it's a mystery why we get such "interesting" changes
They should just pull a Sakurai and just bring in a bunch of pro/influential players, sit them down with a build of the game, and say "what would you change about it". Like, the community wants to be involved with the game so badly to the point that I'm convinced you could get a posse of dudes to finish texturing Asteroid for nothing more than an exclusive hat. Valve should counterbalance the minimal staff with the game's enduring popularity and large community scene before interest completely dies down.
is the rumor that engineer's pistol reload is longer than scout's pistol reload confirmed? I can't really tell tbh. unless it's the other way around?
