Huh, I had thought it was but the group I play with all assured me it wasn't.
I have not and will not be enabling warmode in the near future. Have no use for it personally. If I want to PVP, I'll queue for a bg.
I used it for the extra XP leveling and it also gives extra for rewards from WQs. Haven't had too many issues with overly aggressive people, lots will just let you by if you wave at them.
The bonus XP is fantastic at lower levels, but warmode is actually worse than the old system at times for lower levels. First, it would function more to its purpose if it placed you with players within 10 levels of yourself. Right now it's not too uncommon for low levels to suffer the scourge that is world PVP on a PVP realm, war mode and cross-realm enable this. I had two pvp encounters over the time i was leveling (up to 110) where the levels were at least somewhat similar. Every other time was me getting 3 hit by a group of 110's. A few times all my quest givers were dead and I was forced to switch back. Since I was getting corpse camped I had to take a rez sickness. Second, if a player wants to switch off warmode, rather than go to a rested zone, the player must go to Orgrimmar or Stormwind. If you're questing far away from a major city, even if your hearth is set to the city, you still have to go back to where you were questing. The bonus perks from warmode are great for speeding up leveling with some classes having talents that make PVE a breeze. That measly 10% bonus is effectively much higher unless you are constantly getting slaughtered. But warmode doesn't fix the big problems with world pvp at lower levels, which is the 120s who have nothing better to do than to kill lowbies.
It's depressing being on a low pop server. I quest for 3 hours and see maybe 5 people. Then I join a custom group for a world quest or tough rare spawn and it's like oh yeah holy shit this is an MMO, and when I leave the group I don't I actually get to see people scattered around for a while. For a while I thought Boralus was a personal instance because I didn't see anyone in it for until I hit level 112.
If you attack someone who's just peacefully fishing, fuck you.
If you were flagged, Wouldn't you technically be unpeacefully fishing?
For me it's practically always the case that level 120 enemy players come up behind me while I'm questing/killing rares and murder me in a few hits 'cause I'm like level 113 right now. Jokes on them, they never stick around and I'm a constantly-soulstoned Warlock. Just wait for them to fuck off and then stand the fuck back up and go back to whatever I was doing.
If you play a death knight or demon hunter and don't use the exclusive customisation options- then you fucked up and need to get your ass to a barber shop. It's Trial of Style tomorrow so that shit will be free. There's no excuse for such heresy tbh.
I miss Saurfang's old voice
I don't miss his old model though, he was doofy as fuck. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/8/8a/Saurfang_in_Orgrimmar.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100403185212 https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/f/fb/Saurfang_ICC.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20091110143348
A Turtle Made It to the Water!
The cycle of life can be cruel..
It still depends though, right? My experience with war mode so far is that the Alliance spends 90% of the time in groups of 5+ ganking anything in sight.
It's still with "partner" realms or whatever they're called, similar to how cross realm guilds work but it's with more realms iirc.

https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/laughing-skull/leeroy Neat, Leeroy hasn't played in so long he has an ilevel higher than the current cap
Going off his gear his last raid was Dragon Soul. No wonder he quit.
Got second place in a trial of style, my forsaken priest vs 5 identical blood elf men.
sounds like my kinda party
Blood Elves are so vanilla, I ain't got time for that. Whats an undead gotta do to get some troll girls in there.

damn turtle can't stop hitting walls
A lore-ish question, if I may. Suppose I'd like to roll a Shadowmoon Mag'har orc character in the far future: which class should be more appropriate between a priest (shadow) and warlock (affliction)? My ideal choice here would be a shadow priest, 'cause I'd really like to recreate a Shadowmoon orc from Warlords of Draenor, but the majority of Shadowmoon orcs featured in the lore and game alike were without a doubt warlocks. I'd had really liked to roll a Shattered Hand Mag'har orc, but I was told I couldn't go around with a severed hand
Mag'har can't be Warlocks.
To expand on the reasoning for that, in the original timeline the Shamans were convinced by Gul'Dan to embrace the powers of the fel and abandon their old Shamanic ways to become Warlocks. In the alternate timeline, Garrosh intervened and stopped the Mag'Har from being corrupted by the fel, so they never became Warlocks.
its been a known problem that the shifting shards can put people on massively unbalanced footings, even making a group to counter an alliance one could shard you onto one where they aren't there.

My character's arm glitch when using the selfie camera, and now it looks like he's trying to rob everyone. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/230993/7feddf3d-4b60-4cbb-bf1e-8b8ed0ea0556/WoWScrnShot_083018_202101.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/230993/6d03a1fd-2bc1-45e6-8d47-9e0deca228f9/WoWScrnShot_083018_201944.jpg
