Lmao can't believe they did this. Good thing the shit's still ordered so you can just keep clicking on the next person so you can see the jump from "2 days" to "3 months"
Exactly. It could not be more obvious they want people to not know their communities are dead.
wow that's gonna make managing guilds more annoying.
Just had a thought. Zandalari trolls will be unlocked for you once you complete the new raid on heroic.
No they won't. They will be unlocked in 8.1.5, and all you have to do is be exalted with the Zandalari Empire.
So you looked at the current allied races and the fact that they're tied to Legion/BFA rep and thought that Blizz would just plain lock out the next one to a whole bunch of people? Have you been drinking?
Blizz seems to have broken the old legion app with 8.1, shame as i was using that to farm paragon caches
This isn't exactly something new, but is anyone else experiencing nigh-constant lag? It's especially bad on Alliance. Almost no matter what I'm doing, irregardless of what part of the world I'm in, I suffer from some pretty intense lag, with even mundane things taking upwards of 2-3 seconds before they actually happen in-game. It's been like this for me since Legion.
Night Elf fanboys pls go Nathanos was a open world raid boss in vanilla that required 20m groups, and you're complaining she couldn't one shot him being empowered by two major Valk'yr?? The guy is a legendary figure who was the first human ranger. Tyrande was never supposed to be a super powerful character anyway, I don't know where these people have worked into their heads that she is supposed to be some demi-god. I asked another person about this recently and he just told me it's from WC3 -- despite never playing WC3.
did you ignore the part where she was literally empowered by a god
The Val'kyr that empower Nathanos are two of the original nine that serve Sylvanas, able to raise armies of undead by themselves. They are not the lesser Val'kyr mobs you sometimes see about, but empowered by demi-gods. Tyrande kills one of them with a single blast really easily, and badly injured Nathanos in turn despite being empowered greatly in a ritual himself. Tyrande then DBZ blasts half of Darkshore to ash / destroying an entire base of Horde soldiers in the blink of a eye isn't apparently enough other than total destruction of all the Horde in Darkshore. How OP do you want Tyrande to be? Want her to be able to Goku split the planet in two with a single punch as well? Are all Night Elves empowered by this ritual supposed to be as powerful with the new Night Elf skin released?
empowered demi-god capable of raising armies of undead gets destroyed in a single blast yet nathanos gets badly injured she should've absolutely fucking destroyed them, she didn't. the issue is the lack of consistency. how powerful is she? i can't fucking tell tbh. how powerful is nathanos? i can't fucking tell tbh
wow lmao I haven't played this patch yet because I'm planning to resub once all of the content is actually available- but if this actually happens and Alliance players are still whinging that they are getting shafted this expansion, then I think it's safe to say they wont be satisfied unless the final BFA raid cutscene ends with THE ALLIANCE IS VICTORIOUS! plastered across the screen in huge gold letters. Maybe it's the fact that Legion spoiled them? I mean, a major Horde faction leader showed up once in that entire expansion's storyline- and even then it was just to get owned by Greymane and then vanish again. You can't really expect one faction to get magical god powers and then constantly roflstomp the other in the plot and still have that plotline be interesting. I mean, shit, at least a majority of the Allaince faction characters actually get some screentime now and then.
Night Elf gamers are the biggest moaners in the community, nothing is ever good for them. They are the most overexposed race with the most content, lore and stories out of all races - and then some more. No other race can even come close to the amount of content the Night Elf race gets, you simply cannot get away from those purple elves. Legion was a complete Night Elf expansion beyond the Burning Legion and yet they still complain they 'don't get enough attention'. Now they're really annoyed one of their characters didn't instantly kill the only notable Forsaken character outside of Sylvanas herself after they began a mass bitching campaign on the forums to make Tyrande even more powerful than she originally was in the beta questline.
Yeah, but then Tyrande loses/forgets about all those powers next patch, so its okay. Blizzard has a really bad problem with this shit. Like Jaina flying in on a Ghost Ship and being able to clear an entire battlefield of the plague and shit in a blink of an eye, and as soon as that cutscene is over? Poof. Powers gone.
Yeah but tyrande isn't actually that smart. In Mop Varian has to teach her not to stand her archers in front of enemy cavalry.
With powerful strength comes powerful idiocy. I wish blizzard would stop making these characters overly stupid OP because the only way for them to be defeated is them making dumb decisions that go against their character on either sides of the faction.
I suppose the whole discussion basically comes down to this. I don't think there should be discussions about what character has the turbo mega power to obliterate another character on the spot- the way Blizzard handles characters occasionally exploding into DBZ style displays of power (but only when it's convenient to the plot)- it reminds me of 80s cartoons designed to sell action figures. If one faction is written to be hilariously over powered for no reason other than "it's badass"- then the only thing stopping them from wiping out the other faction is the idiocy of the characters themselves. If there's no effort made to undermine the massive power level of certain characters and factions, The only way to drag the plot out is to make characters constantly commit to tactically unwise decisions. For example, the Alliance has the army of the light on their side now, including the vindicarr. That's a pretty massive advantage right? so why aren't they using it?. If it were up to me, I would have written a Horde war campaign mission centred around a desperate and costly attempt at sabotaging the vindicarr, or even having the Blood Elves sneak a Manabomb on board- before it could obliterate a Horde capital. As it stands right now tho, the ship is still fully active, but just absent for no real reason. They can't just keep chucking in this stuff without considering how it effects the rest of the plot, or it all just gets messy and uninteresting.
That's my issue though is they do keep chucking shit in and then realize it's too powerful or wouldn't fit in and then they just flat our ignore it, which is much worse to me rather than them trying to make an attempt on why X can't be used anymore. I know that's a cliche but it's better to me than a company just ignoring shit they added and go yeah uh that' doesn't exist anymore or it just exists, not doing anything. Lately they've just been adding things in for the sake of "Bad ass". The Vindicaar could have easily not had that laser since its only purpose was to blow open a tiny whole and be used as a zone ability or take the cutscene with Jaina and her flying boat. They could have simply had her bombard the gates of Lordaeron from the coastline and teleport in to clear the way of the plague. Not mad at you, just annoyed with how blizzards been treating their games overall, sorry if it comes off that way.
It didn't, don't worry.
it's called "keeping named characters alive so they can still be relevant" of all the bullshit that WoW lore has nowadays im not going to roast them for fucking plot armor
maybe if they didn't get a hard on for killing the interesting characters
Every second Nathanos lives is painful to me
Good thing he died ages ago then! Unpopular opinion, I actually kinda like Nathanos. He's a nice callback to early wow, and while a lot of his out of game lore is absolutely fanfiction tier wank, I appreciate having him around as this grumpy twat character acting as a counter to all the characters that spend all their time singing the player character's praises. Although I wish we didn't have to see quite so much of him. His character is pretty one note, and there are much more interesting Horde characters I'd like to see more of. So while I don't really want to see him killed off, I do think it's time he took a step back from the spotlight and gave someone else a chance.
I absolutely despise him and Sylvanas, grumpy twat characters are fine but not when they're forming the backbone of an entire faction and you have to spend a lot of time with them and they're fucking dull, they aren't fun in the slightest. See I like Reaper from Overwatch because while he's a grumpy twat its also impossible to take him seriously because he's gone so far into that edgelord zone. Nathanos is a grey man who is great at everything and spends all his time either moaning at you or sniffing Sylvanas. I feel no connection to either because they're both just cunts all the time and 90% of the time the player spends with them involves them hand waving you away to do some boring dull shit while they have the ~real fun~
Shrine of the Storm is quickly becoming the bane of my existence. Not because it's an ugly dungeon (although it's not exactly pleasing to the eye) and not because it's a boring dungeon either. It's because there's something like a 70% chance my group consists of dumb motherfuckers who have no idea how Lord Stormsong works and thus we either wipe or almost wipe.
https://ptr.wowhead.com/news=289371/how-to-tame-crawgs-blood-soaked-tome-location-found I can't believe blizzard thought this was a good idea. It just plants mistrust with hunters in pugs.
Oh wow that's a really terrible idea. I get that most people doing this will get the raid to agree beforehand, but even so why would you essentially reward players for abandoning their group?
It's not intended - Blizzard already responded.
Since the launch of Battle for Azeroth, we’ve noticed an increasing trend of players turning off XP gains at level 110 in order to repeatedly powerlevel other players’ characters at an excessive rate without increasing their own level. The intention of the XP-off feature is to allow alternate characters to stay in lower-level PvP brackets or relive lower-level content, not to purposefully halt progression in content relevant to the current expansion. I'm super confused, how is boosting like this supposed to work?
