I'm waiting for the next patch to resub, the combination of allied races and 50 slots per server means some fun leveling.

Honestly the only other reason I'm excited for 1.5 besides Kul Tirans is that a few weeks after it's released we'll have the 8.2 ptr in our hands to see just how they're going to "fix" the expansion.

i just want 8.1.5 for the draenor timewalking so i can skip the rep grind and just buy rep tokens to get draenor flying

My partner is waiting for the zandalari trolls allied race before she comes back to the game, and considering this expac has essentially murdered my guild I'm just excited to have someone to play with again lol.

I'm actually really excited for the new mounts. The armoured wolf is a mount I've wanted since WoD came out.

i resubbed and instantly felt regret and remorse over doing so. ive logged on twice since last week and been online for about 3 minutes in total. thank god it was for gold and not real money.

Yeah, I've resubbed last week too, right now I'm hunting down transmogs, while the gameplay is pretty lackluster, at least these transmogs will be there whenever the game improves.

I feel so burned i'd be waiting until 9.1 and i'd have to hear consistant praise for the next expac. I even uninsalled the launcher

People seem to have loved Legion but everybody hates on BFA I haven't really been able to tell any difference "Do world quests, do artifact power stuff, do invasions" day in and day out

It's the general systems and class designs, azerite is nowhere as interesting as the artifacts in Legion, in Legion you leveled up your artifact and unlocked new perks that changed up your class a little, in BFA you level up your necklace to unlock the perks on a new azerite piece you've acquired... only that most of the time it's the same perks you had on the piece you've just replaced, but now you need to grind for it again. And it doesn't help when the best resource for azerite are island expeditions, which are just tedious instances where you just clear a bunch of mobs and collect nodes around the map, there are no special bosses or interesting events, it's just boring. Warfronts are even more mind numbingly boring, you can't even lose them, you can have multiple players in a warfront not contribute to anything and still win, there's nothing to it other than go in, kill some mobs, and get some epic loot. BFA just has too many systems that aren't exciting, aren't well thought out, and executed badly.

It was also a matter of Artifacts unlocking abilities and powers for your class that were practically essential to being able to play the class to any reasonable level. Removing most of the classes fun-enabling abilities was a stupid decision, and leaving them as a talent option that competed with other necessary talents isn't a fix. My main class has been dogshit for all of BfA, but at least the poster boys for the expansion have finally arrived so I can level someone else.

people ignored most of the shittier parts of legion because the surrounding stuff was fine and new. world quests and mythic+ was the hot shit so people were fine with the shittier aspects (AP and legiondaries) but when you get to the new expansion and it's literally the same shit, you start realizing and seeing more faults. warfronts are just for welfare gear, island expeditions are sad, class design is really fucking boring in most cases, the storyline has been really bad, azerite traits are downright pathetic (also fucking reforging costs) and a lack of new class sets for transmog really makes you lose your appetite for blizzard's bullshit. granted, stuff can be fixed. but it'll take a lot of effort in all of those aspects for WoW to be great again. raiding is still (probably) fun and mythic+ can be fun and challenging (if the affixes aren't absolute cancer)

As much as people hated the Legendary system in Legion it really did help make everything feel way more worth doing. I used to do the WQ emissary every day to up my chance of getting the legendary I want (well and also for the mounts that drop). In WoD once you are done with rep there is almost no need to do the WQs apart for AP, but the AP in WoD also feels so lacklustre that I couldn't be bothered to grind it.

Legion was full of world exploration that actually felt worth it, the rare mob or really hidden treasure chest probably had a neat toy or something in it at least. I can't remember a single rare or hidden chest in BfA that I thought was actually cool. And as much of a grind as it was, the slow buildup of entering, infiltrating, and liberating of Suramar was also awesome and there's no parallel in BfA.

They claimed the base war campaign was supposed to be the suramar of this expansion, but it's shorter and there was obviously less quality put into it, like not even proper voice acting, in legion every important NPC in a questline was voiced, not so in BFA. In fact, I might go as to say that the war campaign is shorter than the class order hall questlines, and we had like 12 different lines in legion.

well we don't know how long the war campaign is since they keep adding more and more chapters to it. suramar was obnoxiously long and i feel great pity to those who want to play as nightborne but didn't play during legion

Yeah, as much as I liked the Suramar questline, as someone who got back only during the end of Legion, it was a god damn slog getting through the second half of it.

Sure Suramar was a slog but I'll take it over a handful of "kill 10 alliance in this place ok see you in 4 months"

Friend got me to resub because he wanted someone to play WoW with. Fucker dropped the game the next day, so I'm just wandering around WoW with a friendlist full of offline people and guild on life support. Even the Ally EU FP community is absolutely dead. Funnily enough, the last people on EU that I knew were still playing got banned for tiddy mods I'm heavily considering doing WoW pokemons at this point, because even doing old content is not cutting it. Please help me.
