My BFA Dungeon experience so far Waycrest Manor: Fun! Spooky! Freehold: Pirates! Booty! Shrine of the Storm: This Is Hell And There Is No Salvation
You're forgetting that Blizzard has worgen and goblin players on the extreme bottom of the priority list The moment Ion said in the last Q&A that new goblin and worgen models are coming soon, my brain automatically started blasting the "TELL ME LIIEESS TELL ME SWEET LITTLE LIES" song people associate with Bethesda and Todd Howard. Also one fun fact, apparently that issue is caused by some auto rigger script for 3DS Max 2012 that Blizzard is possibly using. How have they messed up this bad so far? Are they moving team members away? I thought they were saying Legion and BfA has had the largest teams for Warcraft they've ever gathered.
bfa has the most gameplay systems of any expansion and many of them have been vastly expanded since legion or wod, its not surprising they have found a lot of bugs
Here's the thing though: there is no way they didn't know that these bugs existed, or that a lot of their changes were not functioning correctly, if at all. Balancing has also been absolutely shit. BfA was released way, way too early. I mean, for fuck sake, between alpha and release, only 6 months passed. The alpha for Legion began a year before release (if I remember correctly at least).
ya but these aren't any worse than before, its just happening more frequently with more systems, and Legion had more beta time because they abandoned WoD.
The real grind begins.
This is less of an issue if you play on the right faction as you can see here: https://helifreak.club/image/20180912234934900.png
Honestly, how are people getting to Exalted so fast? Luck with missions?
I'm most of the way to exalted with honorbound by smashing world quests when I get a chance to play and I'm not also running dungeons. Im only focusing honorbound atm because I want a maghar priest.
So, apparently it was determined that Mythic Fetid Devourer was impossible to beat on raid launch and they quickly pushed a nerf onto him. According to Method's theorycrafters, he's still impossible to beat, even post-nerf. Excellent work Blizzard, I'm looking forward to how fucked G'huun is gonna be especially considering how hard they fucked his numbed in Heroic.
I think luck plays a pretty big part in the reputation grind. I have no interest in either of the new allied races, I already got the two I wanted at the end of Legion, but my girlfriend is actively grinding for both of them and yet ive still managed to end up closer to exalted.
Step 1: hate yourself Step 2: world quests Step 3: ??? Step 4: loss I failed 4 75%+ bonus rolls in a row on rep so that's not related.
I wouldn't mind grinding out a ridiculous number of world quests if you could have a gold generating bodyguard like in legion.
Haven't played since WoD, how are Warlocks looking? So far I hear that Demonology is worth piss(unsurprising) and Affliction sits at the top(completely surprising).
There is no ilvl requirement, Alliance are locked out because it rotates between the two factions. Right now since Alliance control it, only Horde have access to the scenario to attack it. In 5 or so days Horde will control it, so Alliance will have a week of resource gathering, then they will have access to the scenario for a week.
They just added the 320 ilvl requirement. This is getting really dumb every couple days there is something that is actively breaking the progression in the game and they have to fix it and act like it was our fault that the system didn't work. I admit i did spend a bunch of time farming warfront gear and i went from just under 300 (maybe?) to nearly 340 from warfronts. They're generally so brain dead and as long as someone spends time grabbing lumber you win quickly. But maybe instead of requiring that range just have them drop an incremental upgrade based on your current ilvl? Then you can keep doing them from whatever you are to the max for the activity and actually feel like you're getting somewhere based on your effort. Blizzard kind of stabbed themselves in the foot by adding so many different ways to get rewards than now they have to figure out how to incentivize each one against the others. They added warfronts and island expeditions and now neither is really that useful. Maybe just to go between 320 to 340 is what they imagine people doing warfronts for? And why bother after that truly except for the weekly 370. Warfronts are going to drop off in the number of players that play them quickly if its intended for such a limited range of players. And by doing all this they reduce the focus or even interest any one player has on any one activity. But really when every stage of this has something wrong with it it just fucks any good will players have for blizzard. Should players just wait and see when the game is stable and then they can decide what path they want to take to progress? These continued problems are getting really disheartening honestly.
What the actual flying fuck is wrong with Blizzard right now? I've started to play more actively recently. Playing on an Arms Warrior. Managed to get myself to item level 350 and that's given me enough time to look at the absolute state of this expansion. My biggest gripe are how useless and crap Island Expeditions are. I knew BfA was going to be shit a few weeks after they announced it but I never expected it to be this bad. I miss Legion.
The azerite grind feels really awful. It's like the game is fighting you as you try to progress through it. Every time you get a new piece of gear, it has a new set of traits to grind for- making it worse than the trash you are already wearing. I think I get what blizzard were going for, but it doesn't feel rewarding at all, it just feels like someone is constantly moving the goalposts so you never achieve anything. I replace 90% of Azerite gear I pick up before I've unlocked the 3rd trait.
Not a fan of Azerite either. What really gets me is that you need several different pieces of head, shoulder, and chest armour if you're doing dual-speccing. As a warrior, I would need to have 3 different pieces of gear for my Fury spec, and then another 3 different pieces for Prot. And that's not counting trinkets, though it's always been the case that you'd need several one's if you're dual-speccing.
it's so funny to me that the entire reason blizz crippled secondary scaling this expansion was to make it a no-brainer when pieces are an upgrade by just looking at ilvl and then not only did that not work because of socket budgeting, but azerite traits make it even worse
https://i.imgur.com/SKmGyz9.png It's like they're taunting me. I've been trying to get someone to let me recruit them for months.
ya its like they ran away from the artifact system by making a netherlight crucible 2.0
I have 3 sets as a resto druid: 1 for raid healing, 1 for m+ healing and one for DPS and questing
I made a thing Editor[12]
you'd think they would have spent some time on the lip sync with this expansion using a lot of in game cutscenes

ghetto stomped by the game.
One of the abilities suffering the worst from the GDC change has got to be Ignore Pain. That ability is supposed to be something you use just before a big hit comes in, but it's so damn difficult to time it right, because there's no way a good tank will literally just stand and do nothing for 3 seconds, just to be sure he can use his CD. Such a dumb change, and I hope they reverse it.
I found a mildly hillarious bug(?) with mind control in northrend, the mage hunter hounds throughout the nexus area in Borean basically 1-2 shot things with mana, including players, so this druid was picking flowers and I mc'd a hound right to him and knocked him from full health to 60 hp before he knew what hit him. I've just been using MC to build huge stacks of dead mages while doing the quests there.
