There should be a way for you to craft rarity 7 feystones at the elder melder. It's difficult trying to make fun builds without having the super rare decorations.
Man sleep ammo is fuckin redonkulous.
Decoration farming is so much worse than charm farming it's ridiculous, heck, like at least with charm farming you usually get something of use most of the time and they even eventually gave out a DLC mission in Generations that pretty much gave you access to a REALLY GOOD easy as heck charm farming mission too, so that cut out the fat of having to farm hard missions significantly.
Honestly I'd love to see decorations go back to how they used to be, with you having to get certain materials to craft them, instead of having to randomly obtain them, because you could honestly go like 300 hours without seeing one singular attack gem if you are unlucky.
I am really sad that skills like Razor Sharp are locked as set skills, and skills like Max Might only exists on a few armors. These really limits the fun of making builds since if you want a certain skill, you are always going to wear the same thing all the time.
Well I guess stuffs like Max Might are viable through decorations, but still these are extremely RNG based and unfun. Meanwhile, if they are willing to make everything a long grind, I really wish they would go all the way to making stuffs like Razor Sharp decorations. I know they could be overpowered if they are activated with only one decorations needed, but they could always make it simply count toward being one piece of the armor needed for the set skill.
Not having razor sharp has been a bit of a pain but I think it's because Glavenus's unique armour skill from Gen is now a level 2 deco and it's busted as fuck. I actually just got it and my first quest with it on a low white weapon was incredibly successful.
not gonna lie the way armour looks on girls in this game is seriously making me wish they had a proper fucking glamour system
nothing's worse than putting together a mixed set only for the legs to inexplicably be stockings and thighhighs, ruining the whole goddamn outfit, this shit is why I refuse to use the Uragaan boots (Though I managed to make them work in my lance set which is mostly nergigante armour)
the female armor variants in general are complete ass. A male set that is heavy plates with a closed fluted helmet is an bra with metal shorts and a little bracer on each arm.
Which armor is that?
the most blatent one is anj's

guys get all the cool armor while women get basically battle bras for the most part.
This has been a thing since the first monster hunter somewhat.
The sad thing is that it does it's job. Look at the bajillion fan art of female kirin armor or look alike like female narga armor (silverwind being even worse) or barioth.
I still remember back when 4U was new that some people got mad upset that the g rank version of those armor sets (which have different designs than their low/high rank counterparts) weren't shitty bikini armor. One japanese guy even threw a fit and legit put his game in the trash once he learned that kirin X armor was...armor.
Those are the only 2 sets that do that though?
Anja and Nergi.
Though a large, large chunk of the female armour has inexplicate thigh windows for no reason that makes them a pain to work with visually.

Please just give me some goddamn trousers
Or at least an actual glamour system that's not restricted to a handful of event armours so I can wear the actually fucking sane sets like the kushala, damascus, ingot or jyuratodus armour
if you're transmogging female armors girros and jho pants are actually proper pants but thats about it sadly
To be fair there's still a decent amount of sane armour in the game, I named a few
but there's no ingame transmog and i've heard rumours that the mod can brick your save so i'm a little unwilling to try the mod
I really like some of the idle animations in the camp tent.

It won't brick your save if you're not an idiot. The only time it'll "brick your save" is if you use the armors on the "DO NOT CHANGE COLOR" list and decide to change the color. It still doesn't brick your save as there's a way to fix it.
Specifically, don't use anything highlighted in purple or in red (or anything that has NOT come out yet for PC), Vangis for example is fine to use since we have Deviljho now).
MHW Layered Armor
I really like the look of some of the earlier armor types, they look somewhat sensible unlike some of the later ones which fall right into fantasy armor tropes, especially for females
To be fair the male Kirin set seems to be something out of Van Darkholme.
As it should be, if they make sexy/umpractical armor for girls let the boys have it too
Also I want Moofah in World, where's my Moofah pet & kiss darn it.
fuck no, charm farming was a thousand times worse.
not only do you have the old armor skill system, you also had RNG out the ass on the charms.
on a charm you had rng on all of the following:
what skill you got
how many skills you got
what the levels of those skills were
if you got a jewel slot
if you got a second jewel slot
Charms were significantly easier to get and you could have a bad charm in place of no charm that had similar skills. If you dont have the deco you dont have the skill and that's that, having to farm for one item drop rather than however many decos you need is a lot easier to handle.
simply something like a razor sharp 5 evasion window 5 is already much better for making build than the decorations in MHW, not to mention it is possible to get as many as 3 slots for decorations on your charm. There's honestly not much different between the old armor system and the new armor system in term of builds except you don't have to grind hundreds of hours just to get something like Guard Up deco for the skill to be actually viable in your build since it is a fucking set skill in this game.
As much as I don't miss negative skill points or +1/-12 charms the fact jewels are randomised is a super headache, specially with rare skills like Horn Maestro ( the charm for that isn't upgradeable, and why waste your charm on a single +1 skill when you could get +3 on another?)
Yeah I'd rather get negative skills if I could just slap up my own decoration cause hot damn fishing in the RNG sea is not fun.
The endgame really shouldn't consist of grinding some specific jewels.
I'm fine on jewels, but god damn grinding for warrior streamstones is bullshit.
Who thought this was a good idea to split them into catergories.
The whole endgame for World is pretty much grind the same couple elder dragons for jewels just so you can continue grinding the same dragons again for maybe slighter faster or with another weapon. We get something else to play with when Kulve is around but then we'd still be grinding the same stuffs over and over again. I think the Arch Tempered stuffs that's coming aren't adding new moves to the monsters either. World sure grow old on me faster than almost any other MH games that I've played.
What are the best augmentations to go for?
I tend to go for affinity or damage. Sometimes slot upgrades for when the armor doesn't have enough slots.
Is health regen any good, particularly for dual blades?
