Oh right. That common knowledge of Cantonese net slang. How could I have missed that. /s
I found this one interesting... https://snag.gy/V4kUTw.jpg
Just to follow on from this post (and thanks for everyones input), after a rollback there was still an issue. The fix was turning volumetric rendering to low instead of off. Game runs perfectly again.
If the drivers is newer than .36, volumetric rendering for the Vale and Elder is permanently on, which is part of the problem, neither capcom no nVidia has acknowledged the issue.
Oct 4th for PC Autumn Harvest event
We're gonna have to pay to edit our character after our first free one?
when they say edit, they mean completely changing your character's gender/face. you can already change hairstyle in your room.
Is there at least an ingame currency or something that we can grind for free to edit our character?
you'll be able to edit anything with the free voucher and you can also change your hair/makeup whenever you want. just let them charge you money for any extra edits you greedy child lmao they already give us free content updates every now and then.
You can always change your appearance for free using Cheat Engine, so at least there's a (slightly more inconvenient) alternative on the PC.
Can't believe people are starting to accept microtransactions in singleplayer games lmao (in terms of where the save is located)
I think you can thank Activision "pls pay 10$ to change your username" Blizzard for this kind of thing
Microsoft has been doing this since the early days of Xbox Live on the 360 by charging you to change your gamertag so it's been happening for even longer.
Oh shit gonna have to farm Xenojiva for the Virgin Mary armor then
Is it a dick move to kick a player from the quest when they're not contributing at all to the quest itself? I'm going through the speechbubble missions and went for the Uragaan & Lavasioth one, and this one dude got distracted by a Deviljho and spent a good 10-15 minutes fighting it with no intention of joining to help with the Lavasioth so I kicked him. It just felt like he was a freeloader after some free quest rewards.
If someone is taking 15 minutes to fight something, they obviously don't have the gear to solo with the 2.2 modifier.
Initially I didnt know that was a thing either, but after some searching in the menus you can go to the Player List and then select & kick a player from there.
So what exactly is in the Harvest update for PC? In the official Capcom post I only see that we'll be getting all the previous event quests back, but the screenshot has Mosgharl armor and some other new shit, so what gives?
Watch it just be the harvest update, all previous events and the Mosgharl set. And nothing fucking else, seriously, if we don't get every single console hunt in this update I'm gunna be so sad.
So I've racked up 15 hours and I've gotten a hold on what weapons I like (Lance+Gunlance, though I'm finding the Charge Blade really fun), but one thing that I still don't know much about is what I should be crafting, I'm picking up all the materials I walk past and putting them into my item box but I have no idea when looking at the crafting menu what should be a priority or not, so far I've just been crafting basic healing items with some flashpods and dungpods though I haven't used either yet.
If you need an item on a quest the game tends to give it to you so... Basically potions. Max potions are handy, demondrugs and armorskins give you an attack/defence boost that lasts till you get carted. Barrel bombs are always good. Never hurts to have a spare trap, or some tranqs either. Aside from that, ammo for bowgun if you are that way inclined.
Important items to bring along in loosely prioritized order: Potions + Mega potions Antidotes (and/or nulberries depending on encounters) Max Potions (later in the game, once you can reliably secure ingredients) Mega Nutrients (to boost your max health) Well-done steak (to boost stamina) Flash pods (to flashbang monsters, knock wyverns out of the sky etc) Dung pods (to make unwanted monsters f*ck off) Shock trap and Net trap (to capture or get free hits) Tranq bombs (for capturing weakened monsters stuck in traps) Barrel bombs (for waking up sleeping monsters if you don't use a greatsword or hammer) Lifepowder (if you're playing multiplayer, for group healing)
Is there a difference between well done steak and rations? I usually just eat 2 rations cause its faster than chowing down on a steak.
always carry honey for quick mega potion making
I must give a shout out to max potions and ancient potions. A max potion will buff your maximum health as high as it will possibly go AND fully heal you all for the same speed as eating a ration, however you may only carry two. Ancient potions do the same as max potions but also max out and refill your stamina too but you can only carry one. Seeing as you can take items from your item box at camp, making a shittone of ancient potions and keeping them there is very handy, you can refl yourself to max if you get carted and aren;t able to eat, Or if you can eat but in order to get decent skills you can't get decent HP buffs.
usually I just pop an ancient potion if I cart
I use my Max for saving grace moments cause holy shit if I wasn't gonna cart unless I snacked it. Ancient is in case of carts and they're easy to make so why the heck not. Basically if your inventory isn't littered with shit pre-hunt it's not monster hunting
I'm honestly struggling with how much junk is crammed into the scroll menu. I wish there was a faster way to select the item you want without actually popping it. The radial menu works awful on a Steam controller.
yeah the radial menu is the best way to quickly choose your shit, better get used to it
I wish we could bind items to keys
