It kinda sucks that so many of the KT weapons just aren't worth it. Makes getting the worthwhile ones more frustrating.
Literal definition of loot dump, but the alternative is like Jho where it's 100% power creep and your expected to have augments for every builds.
I think it's pretty exciting, like getting Relics in 4U and seeing what the do. Difference is, Relics were BiS stuff and Goldmember provides very few BiS items, if any
BiS She pretty much has the best elementals in the game for almost every weapon.

Personally, I prefer the annihilate her entire face method https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/409457270955704321/509237322261200897/20181105220255_1.jpg
Sleep bombing Kulve seems like a common strategy but I've only seen it a couple of times in public. I try to make some sleep knives from the Gajalaka but I don't think there's enough to go around for only me to put it to sleep. As a GS user it's a bit hard for me to contribute in this regard, is there any implicitly agreed-on time to sleep bomb, or any way to properly organize it? At the beginning of area 4?
I'd say, Area 4 is the most important. She's fast and you need all little moments to get those horns since you can't kill her. I've seen many keep the paralysis and sleep for the last area. Even mounts. Just so we could deal those huge chunk of damage. I also grab/bring extra crafting for bombs. Area 1 is good for getting Large Barrel Bombs.
You should be tenting bombs every area; +4K damage per area regardless of terrain traps adds up quick.
Don't forget in Area 1 there's a number of arches you can knock down onto her and in area 3 there are stalactites on either side of the area you can drop, as well as the lava geyser there.
I usually focus on aiming at her horns with the cannons and breakable arches, get the horns chipped before area 3 and then go to town on Kulva on 3 and 4. Even better if you manage to align her head with a erupting geyser by paralyzing her. Or just her body, to get rid of the cloak. Btw, anything that can reduce the vomit damage? That shit just eats HP like crazy. Is it Fire Res? Almost feels like it ignores Res and Def altogether.
Bombs aren't for that, you use the right side bridgebreak and one volley with artillery 3 to break her horn plate immediately even if she comes around at full speed, which sets for unleashing her in stage 2 if you have the right weapons, if you get all three bridges and two more cannon volleys she should lose her coat in area 2 as well. Bombs are for any time she hits the ground in lunge or gets para'd or sleeped and for busting her tail for max reward boost. The only time bombs become a head specific thing is in area 4, unless you just have shit or underpowered weapons.
usually it's only the fire that really get's me, so yeah fire res, slot 3 jewels, also you can take the fire mantle as well, that's saved my bacon a lot.

Going back to GU after world, i dont know what there is about it but i find GU so much more fun. Maybe its just because of the better monster selection overall (fuck yeah zin and narg) but arts and styles are fun as hell too even if they can be a bit OP I dont miss dumb shit though like running around the map like a jerkoff trying to find the monster for 20 minutes, because it keeps happening to fly inbetween areas i leave. Fuck loading transitions too Im just sad multiplayer is paywalled now, its probably not worth it rn being in HR, but i have to wonder if even GR is alive. I dont wanna spend the money only to find out its dead, even if its only been 3 months. I just spent countless hours in 4U in random rooms helping people or just random hunts, multiplayer is really what MH is about to me, not singleplayer. I should really be able to look if theres any rooms at the very least
I've got 3 full pages of rooms in HR just looking through, with everything from Deviants to Turns to Hyper farms. Fuck me if I attempt Hyper Yian Garuga anytime this century, I already hate the base monster as is. I'll let you know how populated G Rank is when I breach it, but I haven't really seen a drop in rooms since paid Switch Online started.
JFC! Guard Up and Guard +5 on Lance is stupid and I love it! I can stand in Kulva's lava breath and not get a single dent in my HP. It's so dumb.
You have become The Wall. You are the bastion of mankind, standing proud against all assailants. And poking them and stuff.
Oh... and there's a Guard Up jewel!? I didn't even know until I looked up some builds to get started on my own. Knowing I don't have to wear most of Uragaan's set already feels nice. Well, time to farm TTT and some invests! Also, is the Babel Spear worth farming arena for? Cause that's a pain but it's probably the goofiest Lance in the game and it would go well with Kulva's set.
Honestly at the end of the day any weapon you wanna use is fine. Only thing that changes is time taken and unless it's a time sensitive mission how often do you run out of time.
if you want meta lance weapons you'll be getting the odogaron lance, deviljho lance, or taroth claw lance.
Then you press guard+heavy attack and ask your friends if they ever read Don Quixote.
More of a Fashion Hunter than a Meta Hunter. But thanks for the suggestions.
Hazaak fork lance best lance for fashion.
I mean the Kulve Taroth Claw lance is solid gold, it's pretty fashion.
