Does element damage do more stun damage than raw? I can barely get one stun on lunastra with diablos hammer, but i get like 3 using the daora hammer.
They both do the same stun damage. Furthermore, something with 90 true raw does the same stun damage as something with 210 true raw. All that matters when it comes to stun damage is the move that connects to the head. Each move has individual stun damage, so repeating one move might be more beneficial than comboing a monster like Bayonetta. It's also more beneficial to be relentless. KO will degrade over time (it starts at 10 seconds like other status ailments, but I'm not sure how fast it degrades.), so making sure you're getting your hits in regularly ensures swift KOs.
So there's literally no reason to use anything other than the diablos shatterer. I wouldn't mind at all if elemental damage had some tweaks to it.
why use diablos hammer when you can use style points and use the vaal axe.
Style points is really all any other hammer has on diablos. Just disappointing that there's a pretty damn big damage difference.
Pretty sure the Styx hammer is the best hammer now.
It's not. Diablos Shatterer II is still the best hammer in the game. The only thing that even comes close is the newest Kulve Taroth hammer.

I've always thought the Djho Hammer was the best due to white sharpness, but I don't really have any support of this. I've been using it for the elderseal (hoping to lessen the fuck-you attacks frequency) + for not needing as high handicraft. Anyone else have any thoughts about this? Also, I've found that I'm struggling with consistently GS:ing tempered elder dragons. It might have to do with switching from the Steam controller to an XB1 recently, but I find there's rarely an opening big enough for a TCS due to how fast they are. Non-tempered elders have a perfect window in the time in the "pause after big attack + turn"-animation. Hammers meanwhile permits relentless hit-and-run attacks with the 2nd level charge, resulting in KO:s that leaves plenty of room for Big Bang:s. I've resorted to using this hammer strategy exclusively now. What's the deal?
I mean don't forget there are more attacks then just the charge on Greatsword. It's better to use those then not do any damage if you can't setup your TCS combo, and since the Wyvern Ignition is just stupid broken even those do tons of damage.
If you happen to have two streamstones laying around and two augments, sure. If you don't, well things are different.
Maybe the crit-draw build, shunned due to the TCS meta, would lend itself well to tempered elders? Or did you have something else in mind? Am I alone with this issue?
Anyone getting a lot of disconnects today.
We decide to meme and went into ATK without equipment and just basic sword and shield. We ended up fawning over it for like 6 minutes cause we got this absolute unit. https://files.catbox.moe/wb828z.png
OH LAWD, HE COMING!
When are they going to un-nerf stun damage for multiplayer?

For hammers use Diablos if you want Max DPS while maintaining protective polish. If you would rather not bother with protective polish then styx is probably your next best bet for longer fights. Deviljho is pretty good but I'm not sure if I would recommend it outside of a few niche situations.
MONSTER HUNTER behemoth on december 21
They're speeding thru them! So many events back to back. Wonder if they have something to announce in a coming event. Not Awards but... geez.
So after blasting through Akantor, Ukanlos, and Amatsu I definitely like Amatsu the best. He's much easier to stagger and land critical hits on despite fly-swimming almost all the time, and he doesn't have that annoying run away to the other end of the map that Akantor has or constant damaging roar Ukanlos does all the time. Why the element god duo are classified as Flying Wyverns I'll never know, they don't even have wings.
which weapon is MHW has the highest skill cap?
kt was a huge roadblock because it's something completely new in terms of how it's done for monster hunter, and on top of that they had to rework it to make it work on pc for the mh team's first port.
HH. Requires hammer range and Great Sword timing, benefits are crazy buffs for days while doing hammer-like damage.
Definitely hunting horn. But it's godlike having them in your team.
the same reason why penguins are birds I guess
