You get a 16% chance of you break a horn, the reason to break both is to double the chances, the only way to raise it is plunderblade. ( I think on the tempered with horns has a 25% chance, but I don't think it's diablos) Graja set comes from Chef's 10 rep graja food quest, just do it three times to get three sketches, you need all three to every piece.

Do yourself a favor and craft the Kulu-Ya-Ku gloves to increase transport speed.

Also wear the Ghillie Mantle so the monsters completely ignore you.

Man the challenger mantle is so useful. I never expected that it would be this good.

Out of all the monsters that I've killed in this game Kirin made me feel the most like a piece of shit.

I had an easy time with tempered Kirin because of prior knowledge that he was a bitch to fight like you would a normal monster and that just going in for a solid hit with my switch axe upswing on his head and then backing off was the legitimate strategy. Took longer than a usual hunt but my first try for the HR49 quest only ended up with me carting once and that was because I got cocky at the very end.

This was my first introduction to Monster Hunter, and god, the amount of character and animation they put into each monster is amazing. They actually feel like living things. It almost makes me feel bad for killing them. Dodogama is perfect, I love Tobi's design as well.

It's not. Regular Nergigante attacked me immediately upon entering his arena whether it's the assigned mission, optional, or investigation.

Most monsters don't directly attack you on sight, it really depends honestly. I will admit that Nerg is a temperamental bitch though.

I like to think fighting bazel is similar to fighting monsters in some of the older games where you have to be more sparing and disengage sooner when attacking than with other monsters.

Easy as hell. His crit spots are huge and his animations are easy to dodge and telegraphed way in advance. The only reason people complain about him is because they step on a random turd he drops and instantly die because they weren't paying attention.

After having been burned out on World since Kulve first came out, I started playing it again a couple of days ago and got my licks in with Lunastra and Behemoth. I've learned Lunastra well enough to reliably solo her, I joined my friends in fighting Behemoth to the point where I've crafted everything you need his parts to make (and I don't even use Insect Glaive, so this was just me establishing dominance), and then we all went in on Extreme Behemoth. I partnered up with three guys who had already taken Extremoth down once and we put their knowledge to the test. Was up until 3:30am, but we struck him down again. And now I'm going back on my crown-hunting bullshit because my dumb ass said a long time ago that I was going to get the Platinum Trophy no matter what and apparently I'm going to live up to that promise. This is the reason why World remains my number one GOTY. Nothing else that's come out this year (that I've played, anyways) has been as addictingly frustrating as this. Or frustratingly addicting. Both are equally valid.

Half tempted to swap out the eyepatch for the damascus helmet for that juicy defense boost and speed sharpness, but idk if the eyepatch is a better choice or not
