Just saw this mod, it makes the little white crystals that drop off monsters have a white line shine off them so they're easier to see especially in areas like Elder's Recess where they blend in with the environment. It only works for the white crystal shards though, not the bandit mantle ones or anything else.
Souvenir's Light Pillar at Monster Hunter
It really depends on which sword you are using. Usually I would go for more DPS and get affinity, it is generally better than attack unless it puts you over 100%. Health Regen can be great if you are building Peak Performance. Defense is pretty meh but it has a Divine Blessing effect on top of bonus armor.
Decoration slot really depends on which decorations and what build you have so I can't really comment on that.
I personally prefer health regen over any other augment only because it's insanely powerful.
If y'all here wanna take down Nerg with me a couple of times I'm down for anyone hopping in with me. I got a couple of silver reward investigations with many uses if anyone is interested.
I primarily use a HBG that mostly shoots a lot of explosive ammo so I can break horns off easy for anyone who needs those, I just need Nerg's Carapace mostly for some armor and tail for weapon upgrades.

Would you be up for this tomorrow? Saw it too late but I could use some of those horns
I can get on tomorrow, but it can't be at 5-10 PM CST, after that though if someone I'm following is not streaming anything I'll be available
i've put in about 100 hunts with gunlance and another 100 hunts with lance.
i've made the current best sets for both of them.
it's time for the hunting horn.
Hunting Horn OP
I've got about 7 horns at the moment, fun switching between them based on the monster you're fighting
also is that u beardyduck
I have also taken up the hunting horn after 100+ gunlance-only hunts. I've ready so many complaints about corner-horners that I thought I would become a force for change in the world. my next step is to actually start playing with randumbs, however
Playing with randumbs is much easier when running the horn. Means you can give the plebs that little bit more defense and resistances to keep them alive
AuXL is always good too
September 6th 00:00 (UTC), we get the angry pickle on PC.
MONSTER HUNTER
Took about a month to get him in, so I hope they'll keep that schedule for the other updates. I still think it's retarded that they didn't just add everything from the get go, seeing as it was all done already anyways.
What would be the point of adding everything from the get go....
They release events on a weekly schedule for a reason too
Maybe because I'd have liked to be able to see Deviljho show up in 6 and 7 star quests when I actually reached that point? I think that quite a few people are already fighting Elder Dragons and shit, and the Deviljho isn't exactly endgame content in the same vein as those. Besides, they're just timegating us on interesting content that's already fully functional and ready on the PS4, which is especially bad in this case seeing as one of the biggest complaints about MHW is the lack of content in terms of the amount of Monsters there are to fight. The PC version of MHW is essentially the most barebones version of the game that came out 8 months ago, deliberately removing improvements made in the meantime just to stretch the lifespan of the PC version by giving out shiny new content at a slower pace.
Staggering content isn't a huge issue when the playerbase as a whole has most likely only reached higher rank quests.
Just because you've smashed through the game does not mean everyone has and imo this content update is at the right time.
If you release everything at once, for people who are new to this game, it could be overwhelming. This isn't a standard MH game
There's no reason to delay it though. As you said, not everyone will have reached High Rank yet, but everyone who did will have no qualms with more content. Besides, I really doubt the 3 or 4 new monsters they've added so far will make new players who haven't reached High Rank yet feel overwhelmed. I started with 4U, and I never felt the 70+ monsters and G-rank endgame influenced my enjoyment of the early game. I get holding off on the Kulve Taroth event, as that one requires a whole bunch of people to have beaten the game, but regular Large monsters should've just been in from the start to ship the game with as much content as possible.
So I'm working toward a dream build and it's gonna be expensive in arena coins.
Anyone wanna help farm arena quest 8 and 9 with me?
I have A+ on 8 already and B on 9.
Been updated, theres a version now that applies to everything with different light tones to represent the drop type.
Was using bow, but was getting a bit boring, and the range I was at felt very easy to die in.
Changed to DBs because the alure of high speed slashing sounded good, and am building up for a Sin critical build. The result so far?
I feel like those murderers that stab people 50 times in a row, except its 10 times more stabbing.
Once a monster goes down, its knife whirlwind time! And hey now I can easily sever stuff!
Having ocnstant crits was nice tho. I love the horn.
whelp time to get back into grinding my ass off to get back to HR115 :V
I think the lack of content and end game direction is more harmful to new players than "overwhelming" them with actual shit to do. There's no indication that there's anything worthwhile in tempered hunts because you're not told about augmenting till you by chance get a low drop chance item. Left a sour taste with the majority of my new to the series friends.
I agree with the augmentation, I'm still not sure what to actually do with them...
I understand what Bokito was saying, Deviljho could have easily been released from the start. Event monsters and all that should be staggered but they do need to increase the number of monsters.
Also how you doing Lewis ;~) long time no speak
I'm gay
Nowadays it's no longer a case of releasing extra content when it's ready, content updates are often being worked on and partially completed before the game is even out and release is planned to be staggered to keep people's interest over time, most likely this was also the case for the original release on console
Part of the dreaded "games as a service" concept you might have heard of
I didn't think of it like this really. Kind of a sad way gaming has gone down. Your overall content should make the game enjoyable, not the fact you delay content to get interest.
Sure, on the initial release, none of which applies to this particular SKU.
Well I'm on now for anyone who wants to fight Nergigante for horns with me, I got Silver rewards Nergigante investigations.
I know @kiloy wanted to join me, so now's your chance for a few hours
Session ID: 3pseatnhF4w
I still got 2 hours until I can hop on, feel free to start if there's other people here wanting to do it
At that point I can only stick around for a little bit of time, let's just try tomorrow, I should have plenty more time then.
