Farming Xeno'Jiiva makes me want to uninstall the game
From the series that gives you monsters like Fatalis, Shagaru Magala and Valstrax, Capcom presents:
Wailing on something's feet for half a fucking hour
Poison makes Xeno'Jiva more of a breeze btw.
I'd recommend bringing a weapon that can apply it consistently.
I usually just SOS that shit right away, the session usually fills up almost instantly and even with 3 random pubbies I've not once failed the mission. Goes a lot faster than soloing it, although it doesn't make the fight itself any less of a drag.
Or just go Insect Glaive and jump on it forever.
Wyvernsnipe HBG is absolutely wonderful and might speed up the fight for you depending on how much you build around Pierce and Special ammo boost.
farming Xeno is a lot less tedious than farming Fatalis imo, especially when soloing it. It's very easy to make it flinch repeatedly if you are doing enough damage.
Gotta say, Jho is saving me a tone of time with my optional quests now. He just turns up and throws whatever around.

So I've stumbled upon something strange that I haven't noticed until now. A couple of those Rarity 7 Switch Axes are at maximum upgrade as well.

G-rank upgrades maybe?
When you're in the upgrade tree, the weapons that have a certain grey border around them cannot be rolled back after you upgrade to them. Even says so on the upgrade message.
Yeah I know that but Jyura Drought III is an exception to this, at the last upgrade it can be rolled back at the end of the weapon tree but that rollback doesn't seemingly do anything noteworthy. Also discovered this with the Datura String in the bow category.

Odd design choice. Have you checked if it's tree specific? Cause I know the lower part of the tree, like Xeno weapons usually don't allow for rollbacks.
Yeah I wish more trees let you rollback to a split path but who knows.
Is it possible to mod in different hunting horn sounds? Got a few ideas for replacements.

i can feel my gpu screaming in agony when looking at my cat for more than 5 seconds.
was farming odogaron with a friend, suddenly jho shows up, grabs him, smacks him around half a dozen times each for 450 dmg, last hit does over 700 and kills him, and then leaves

I beat Xeno'Jiiva in 15 minutes (solo) all thanks to an extremely well positioned, well timed, highly boosted Wyvernsnipe.
High 30's on collision with deflection parts, 46-68 on soft spots, explosion on tough parts is at around 74-89 dmg a blast, 149-197 blasts on soft spots. Holy fuck was it amazing to watch.
Icing on the cake I carved 3 horns and 2 tails from one Xeno corpse and earned an extra horn on the rewards menu.
also if y'all need to farm Xeno I can be your sniper and fuck that boi up. If any of you guys have Xeno quests that you wanna do I'm absolutely down to shred the big guy.

I also found out that Wyvern Fire can break the waterfall in Ancient Forest, thought only bombs could.
Having a monster die from the fall damage after being swept away by the waterfall is the greatest feeling.
