It's not exactly difficult to keep track of something in the air and then figure it's approximate landing location, to then take action quickly when it lands, easier especially when what you're tracking is only several feet above your head.
That's not what happens though, they start the punching animation while you're still in the air - you could be air combo-ing someone and they'll be aggressively punching the air underneath you
That's kinda dumb, there's certain aspects of the combat I find kinda shit but overall it's not bad, it's not Batman tier combat where you can just press a single button and win.
My friends finally convinced me to buy this game over the weekend. It's a fantastic game, but is it bad that I want to Peter Parker around the city at ground level and just take in the sights?
Ended up being able to play this on my Bros ps4. Love the game so far but it feels a bit too repetitive at times. I end up doing the same small handful of combos which usually involve getting them in the air then doing a swing kick to launch them off a building for a quick kill. The side activities aren't much better either involving common open world tropes to pad out the length with a ton busy work - and the combat so far has been fairly easy that I have no incentive to do them.
Swinging around and the story is certainly great though, but those small open world tropes bog it down so much for me.
Something I was thinking of last night that bugs me about the story, namely towards the end.
So you know how he gets the cure, goes back to feast and is like, yo dawg how long till widespread cure or could I just use it on one person, then however longer after when you see people getting injections, can't remember when that was, but are you fucking telling me, we couldn't have use a syringe full of that stuff to cure aunt may, when the bottle had a lot more than just a single syringe full of it? It's complete bullshit, like she died because they couldn't figure out that you they didn't need to use the entire pissing bottle of the stuff to cure her, and don't tell me what was in that bottle was required for a single person, that's dog shit.
So yeah it's something that bugs me.
The guy said he needed the whole sample to create more because he didn't know what it was made of, so he needed to find out what it was exactly before creating more of it. Also May died like 20 seconds after Peter almost injected her so it woudn't have made a difference in curing her, but would have fucked over everyone else.
I estimate that we're not supposed to take the dying as soon as the scene fades as a literal approximation of how soon it occurred, or else the impact behind it would probably be lost altogether.
I really love this game but I think I broke it

Games is somewhere between a 7 and an 8 for me.
It's nowhere near perfect. There were a ton of (small) odd glitches and poor graphical effects that really shouldn't have been in the final product. The story was really fun - I loved the chemistry between Peter and MJ throughout and it had me smiling through most of their scenes. I feel like they could have done more with the villains overall tho. Story was a tad short for me and as I mentioned before the amount of side stuff which was mainly padding bothered me. Too many little dots on the map with very little variety.
The amount of detail the city has was amazing, both on street level and high above the city. Really cool how much detail went into things.
Controls were mostly fine - some things were wonky (example, climbing on the side of a building and trying to jump off rarely worked for me). Also, close quarter missions also felt a bit wonky at times.
The stealth sections felt a bit lazy for me and another thing to pad out the story.
Combat got WAY too repetitive - again as I had stated before, you're limited to a small handful of combos and the combat rarely gets challenging enough to incentivize you to do the side quests for better skills / gadgets. It was usually fun jumping around and being cinematic about it all, but it just ended up being me smashing square and triangle all day.
If I bought this game I don't think I would pay the full $60 for it, but it got a lot of enjoyment out of me so it did well and wouldn't blame anyone for spending full price on this game.
I hate how it automatically switches back to web shooters as the default thing. I start a fight expecting to have impact web equipped, and end up getting decked by a brute. JUST LET ME HAVE IMPACT WEB EQUIPPED AT ALL TIMES FUCK.
No idea, seen it on some reddit thread but with no explanation
I broke down and bought it, but I can't play it. It makes my PS4 so fucking loud that it sounds like a helicopter about to take off
Late response but looks like save editing/modding is possible on a jailbroken PS4

I hope there's a way to do it on an unmodified PS4 though, or at least Insomniac consider an official Peter Parker costume/mode.
might be clogged with dust used to happen to my ps3 with last of us
Well I fully cleaned out my PS4 and now that it doesn't sound like an airplane, I can play the game.
It's fucking amazing

Some DLC news. Not a fan of the suit designs tbh
Also, NG+ and Ultimate difficulty are coming sometime before the DLC releases.
I will say something, while I love MJ's design, oh my god she gets really irritating personality wise.
NG+ is out now if anyone wanted to know
Where is my Raimi suit?
Being click baited all over youtube apparently, that's all I see about this game is just videos talking about the raimi suit and mock up versions of it with no evidence or anything lol
I just want the original Spider Armour and that's it.
I just had like a 3 day bender with nothing but this game and occasionally eating. Holy fuck I love it.
Is the original one the silver one? I was disappointed that one wasn't in the game.
I finally managed to get the plat yesterday, the only one I missed was the "use trip mines" one. I basically never used those aside from the time they introduced them lol
Have they detailed how the DLC campaigns are going to work? It seemed like in the menu you'd activate one of the campaigns and I guess it would change the entire map to have different side objectives and whatnot
New suits

oh my god the madmen actually put the mk1 suit in
I'll be honest that Spider-Clan suit looks like shit.
