I haven't played a CoD game since BO1 and I'm having a shit ton of fun in this beta

One of my few legit compaints is the weapon and gear variety. I was hoping when this was announced that we'd be able to use more guns, vehicles and gear from previous 3arc games. Having parts of the maps combined from the obvious (Nuketown Island) to the more subtle (Tranzit Diner) is really cute but I cant help but want to get my hands on either a classic AK or a Colt Commando

I think matches last around the same time as Fortnite matches Which I think is good, I hate how a PUBG match lasts half an hour

Man, I forgot how god-awful lag compensation is in CoD games. Unfortunately having 110 ping minimum and that's enough to get whole delays in hits

That does remind me, on my 3rd match I was playing with a friend and me being an idiot was carrying like 3 Combat Axes. Well, he got downed and instinctively I went up to him and hit E. The button that in most other games is interact. He caught an axe to the head and died. good shit

i hope they add fire select, with the increased ttk a lot of guns are garbage even close up because they have so much recoil ill take the cordite over anything else because you can fire all day and it doesnt climb at all i think the inventory is pretty good its easy to manage quickly but thew guns shouldnt be tabbed i might be missing something but you cant switch attachments round easily

So is this the new Call of Duty thread or is it just on about Blackout? The title has me thinking it's about Blackout and not Call of Duty in general, as does the OP.

It's a Blackout thread, but only because I only care about that mode and I couldn't be bothered Writing the descriptions and such for the other call of duty games. Plus I couldn't find the previous threads so I didn't know the version number.

Could've just left it as Black Ops 4 instead rather than making it out like it's just for Blackout, like oh boy, the only active Call of Duty thread and it's just on about Battle Royale.

Really enjoying this, just won a solo with 7 kills. One thing id like to be changed is Bhopping. The amount of momentum you keep while hopping around like an asshole is kinda stupid.

ENTIRELY off topic here so forgive me for shitposting, but can anyone explain to me why people are calling this "CoD4"? It's making it a fucking nightmare trying to google what's been causing Modern Warfare to be borderline unplayable because all I'm finding is everyone losing their shit over a beta not working right, and not a finished product that's mysteriously broken for everyone.

It's the fourth entry in the Black Ops series, which is very popular at the moment. CoD 4 is much older, less searched for.. so it's basically been replaced in terms of search.

Gee I wonder why the thread would only be about blackout? Could it be because the game is not out yet and blackout is the only thing available in the beta? Fuck me what are you on about mate, why would anyone be here to talk about anything aside from blackout when its the only thing playable???

They wont Fire select is kinda useless in COD in general.

Apparently the game struggles with texture streaming on cards with 2 gb vram. But apparently if you put textures to medium it gets fixed. (You still get some nasty pop-ins though)
